The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding ‘mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of ‘group-think’), but, more importantly, aid in the construction of a vehicle (a ‘ship’) that provides the scattered (‘free thinkers’) with a ‘starter’ new social-networking platform which allows for freedom of thought, expression, and patriotism or national pride (the feeling of love, devotion and sense of attachment to a homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment).
When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

The people in that photo all look Chinese to me. It’s evidence that many of the Chinese who come to our countries are not here for freedom and a new way of life. They’re here to spy and advance the goals of the CCP and will always remain loyal to China first. I play bridge with a man in my bridge club who said he’s from Taiwan. He was an Economics professor at Niagara University in Buffalo and, in his last 3-4 years before he retired, he made 3 trips a year to China to recruit students for the University. I asked him why he was going to China and not Taiwan but never got a satisfactory reply. He’s really fun to play with and a truly funny man and I thoroughly enjoy our games together, but I’ve always wondered if he’s a Chinese spy. That would be a shame. Maybe a dialectologist here can identify his accent?

Looks like some of us have reached their personal deadlines. The thread has gotten thin and messy. Petty squabbling is going on and many of us are really impatient. A lot of FreeQs seem to have dropped out.
I have to admit, I am pretty diappointed that nothing seems to be happening myself. I thought surely >something< must happen before the end of the year.But yesterday, in a conversation with my brother, I learned something. There are still far too many who don’t don’t get it. Drunk on the Blue Koolaid? Little Brother (Age 70) believes ALL the hoaxes from “Fine people” to “Drink Bleach” and all the rest.
My own brother really believes that Trump is actually Hitler; that he plans to overthrow the Constitution, implement a full on Nazi regime complete with jackboots, swastikas, tanks in the streets and concentration camps for Democrats and non-whites. Seriously.
There is still a lot of work to be done on the Great Awakening. Sad.
I don’t know anything about accents, but years ago I had a musical colleague whose family came from Taiwan, and he would bristle with anger and immediately and forcefully correct anyone who dared refer to him as “Chinese”.

I had no idea there was a name for that, but I think I may be a practicing member of the art. Two true stories, both from bridge tournaments on the road.
I’ve told this story before, but it’s kind of fun so I’ll tell it again. We’re waiting for the round to be called and just chatting after three hands were played. One of the opponents asked where we were from and we responded New York and Ontario. The two opponents were from Canada as well and one of them excitedly asked what I thought of then-President Trump. I said I loved the guy and was thrilled out of my mind that he was the President. She frowned and then asked what I thought of Obama. I didn’t miss a beat when I quickly replied that I thought that he was the most unqualified man in any room he’d ever been in. Her eyes got large and watery and she became speechless. She abruptly got up from the table and left. My partner had been to the men’s room and passed her on his way back into the playing area. When he arrived at our table, he said he saw the lady on his way in and she was crying and asked why she was so upset. I had to be careful what I said because her partner was still at the table, so I simply replied that she was upset that Obama was no longer in office.
The second display of my bitchcraft was this past June in Fredericton. Again, post-round, we’re talking about where we’re all from and our opponents were from Ottawa. I mentioned that I used to live there for 16 years and was glad to be gone because the weather was so extreme. Being in a valley, it could be bitterly cold in the winter (-40° with windchill) and oppressively hot in the summer (feels like 40°). The female opponent told me that global warming had changed the weather in Ottawa and that those extremes didn’t happen any more. I laughed and she asked me what was so funny. I simply raised my eyebrows and looked over my glasses and said “Global warming?” She said “You don’t believe in global warming?” I said “No. It’s another income redistribution scheme devised by governments to impoverish wealthy nations and control our lives in negative ways, similar to wars.” She left the table and her partner and I continued to have an intelligent conversation about why I said that. At the end, he said that it was interesting to hear a different point of view. I don’t think he meant that, but was too polite to call me an idiot climate change denier to my face. I lived in Ottawa. Twenty percent of the people work in government and it’s mostly an echo chamber for whatever government narrative is being pushed at the moment.
I never start these discussions, but I don’t have any problem engaging in them when invited. That the women go away crying is a sad sign to me that their beliefs are firm, rarely challenged, and fragile. I’m delighted to have a name for the situation I keep finding myself in. Thank you, foldy!

Oh yes. I absolutely appreciate the sensitivities there. It’s the same if you ask a Ukrainian if they’re Russian. Yikes! Prepare to duck! I’ve never asked Dr. Lee if he’s really Chinese because of that, but I’ve always wondered why a Taiwanese, who ostensibly hates the Chinese, would want to go to China to recruit students, and be allowed into China to recruit students. I don’t pretend to fully understand the travel restrictions, rules, sensibilities or customs, but the whole thing seemed odd to me.
You aren’t alone in your dismay. Despite some seeing more people waking up, we encounter too many otherwise not stupid people who cling to the opinions pushed by the MSM. It particularly dismaying when they are relatives.

How does your brother explain that, when PDJT had the chance to do this for four years, none of this actually happened, and that the US and the world were at peace and relatively prosperous? It’s distressing to me that so many people no longer think for themselves. Their minds are like blank chalkboards that they allow the media to write on to form their beliefs. (*sigh*)
