The US is in the midst of an “out of control” STD epidemic, with cases of syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia on the rise nationwide.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says gonorrhea cases spiked by 28% across the country in 2021, while total syphilis cases soared by a staggering 74%.
However, not all American areas are experiencing the same rates of infection, with a new data breakdown by US News & World Report revealing the 10 states with the highest sexually transmitted disease rates. The publication compiled the list after looking at cumulative cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis per 100,000 residents — and it’s not good news for those living in the South.

If you look at white, non-Hispanic, in all those states, these states are suddenly the lowest.
It’s blacks and illegals and gays.

It still wouldn't explain Alaska and South Dakota, unless someone can look up if those states rate high in disco halls. Long lonely winters.......................

A friend of mine was from Arkansas, and he knew I had been raised in Mississippi.
One day he asked me, “Do you know what Arkansans say about Mississippi?”
And I replied, “No, what?”
“Thank God for Mississippi!” He laughed!.................

The photo they chose to illustrate the article reflects the IQ and scientific knowledge base of the authors. A test tube of red liquid is shown with the label “Syphilis Virus Test.”
CDC: “Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum.”

Large Native American populations.

I suspect blacks and American Indians are disproportionately represented in these STD cases.

I know!
I was stunned that Florida escaped the Top Ten list,
what with the Villages being a huge hotbed of STD’s.

"So 5% of the population is responsible for 36% of infections. Also note...in 2013 the CDC said that gay males represented less than 2% of the population...I wonder what happened?"
Maybe the same mathematicians that work elections are now working for the CDC.

Very small populations in both Alaska, South Dakota. A small change in numbers makes a big percent change in local populations.

...in 2013 the CDC said that gay males represented less than 2% of the population...I wonder what happened? "Less than 2%" is also less than 5%. They could as well have said, and may yet say, "less than 40%." It's probably actually less than 1%, but one has to admit, less than 1% is less than 5%.
