Hopefully the thread won’t stagnate and I’ll do better at posting weekly (or bi-weekly) topics than I have in the past. (anyone willing to post a topic now and then we'll be highly praised and appreciated).

We are in for some bumpy rides, and prepping can only help. If for peace of mind, if nothing else. We have a wonderful gardening thread and a current-events survival/prepping thread, and hopefully this one can piggyback off of those, maybe having a longer discussion about certain topics or … whatever. It's your thread, do what you like with it! (civilly, of course)

I’ve always preferred russet to waxy potatoes in most things. except the Toscano soup where they need to hold up with multiple reheating. Russets make potato salad nice and creamy. I let a few potatoes sit in the hot water Abita lo ger

Lol Canadian winters is right. Not looking forward to this one as I won’t be schooling the young one. I’ll have to find something useful to do!

We had a great time - just got back. We played a few rounds of cornhole and it started raining....fine with me, it’s jammie time anyway!

I boil the potatoes whole, rub off the skin, and then refrigerate them overnight before cutting them into cubes, it gives them a nice texture.

I have spent the day coloring in pictures I drew of the outside of my daughters house. Only way to get an idea of what some different colors would look like. I drew it once then copied it.
