Are you sure you’re talking to Amazon and not a scammer?
I say this as a complete hypocrite, because I still order stuff from Amazon, but the lesson here is should should have gone to the local store in the first place.
I like Amazon and have had few problems. Their service has been exemplary in most cases.
Sounds like you need to go elsewhere.
It;s a pain but when you receive it you can return it for free.
Dear Facebook 🙄
At one point in the recent past (maybe last year), my wife actually found a phone number to call for Amazon to get problems like yours corrected.
Amazon service has been slipping of late. They have been losing shipments more frequently. Items are often packed haphazardly and shipping is taking longer and longer. My Subscribe and Save order, due on the 1st of this month, is still not here.
I am moving to other online vendors as I can. For pet products Chewys is superior. Walmart will often will deliver items the same day for no charge or a nominal charge.
Better smarten up, Amazon.
IF your item you bought was from another seller on Amazon, this happens.
I have had it happen and I only buy on Amazon when they are the seller and it comes from their warehouse.
I have gotten refunds before from these people burt when you pick one of those items you lose the easy refund terms with Amazon.
Can confirm. I don’t know what has happened to Amazon shipping but it has really gotten bad. I thought part of the reason for paying for Amazon Prime was for free two-day shipping. I’ve had non third-party stuff take about a week to finally get to me, not to mention getting various delayed shipping notice emails. Not sure what’s going on.
It’s not just Amazon. Nearly everyone and everything I do business with has dropped in quality and customer service. The only reason it is so noticed here is Amazon used to be top of the class.
The other day we were in Culvers, which always has been excellent. While other fast food places have dropped staff, Culvers has pretty much remained open and fully staffed. And indeed, there were eight folks behind the counter (and others in the kitchen). Yet not a single one was taking orders. I can understand if they were all filling orders, but nope, they were just hanging out talking. After a couple minutes of standing at the register they finally sent someone the three feet to take my order. And it was clearly his first day. He didn’t recognize stuff from the menu, phrased exactly as it was on the board behind him. We actually said ‘nevermind’ and walked out.
Add to this the complete breakdown of courtesy (at least in my neck of the woods), especially with driving, and you might as well replace stop signs with red yield signs.
Oh, by the way, get off my lawn. I must be getting old for this stuff to bother me so much.
There is a gigantic Amazon warehouse about 5 miles from my home. I usually get my orders delivered within 24 hours. So convenient.
contact amazon, not freerepublic. this isnt fb.
Geez man, try the decaf. You’ve ordered $8000 worth of stuff, and ONE hiccup is going to make you throw in the towel? You send it back when you get it. Amazon’s return policies are fantastic.
I’ve had excellent experience with Amazon...including returns.
Most recently, I returned a $1500 DAC (Gustard A26) received but decided to order a $2800 DAC (Wandla) that offered *much* higher performance.
I never opened or broke the factory seal and Amazon issued my refund as soon as it was received.
My advice, once you receive it and prefer not to keep it, simply return unopened.
That’s BS not being able to cancel...
...Amazon needs a competitor.
When this happens, Amazon lets you return the item with no shipping charges.
It’s not an issue.
No surprise: Their system is not logistically supported for mid-order cancellations.
Rather, it’s supported for returns.
Ironically, in their quest for more profit they have tabled return fees forthcoming in a revamp of their policies.
Again: No surprise.
Just return it and be wary.
Keep right after them- go to their chat and make it clear heat the delay is unacceptable... a couple of times I’ve had to do so, the item was sent and there was a refund issued as their way of apologizing.
The chat is hard to find... go to the “help” link, and somewhere in there it will open a chat bot, but keep clicking on “no that didn’t answer my question” (or so etching similar to tnat) and it will then get you to a real person to chat with. They make it a pain to get to, but it is there-
Yeah they are a far cry from what they used to be.
I bought a yard trimmer and the day I got it the price was reduced $30. Talked to Amazon and they said their policy was to not match prices. Ummm kay.
The only way they would refund the difference was if I returned it, got my refund and bought the EXACT trimmer for the cheaper price.
So that’s what I did.
I left Amazon and everything Amazon
There was an unauthorized transaction on my credit card for $542. They would not discuss and never have discussed the unauthorized charge. I had the credit card company withdraw the payment. That set Amazon off to an unprecedented level of attack on me.
Given the strong double security measures necessary to access the account, I am convinced the transaction was made from within Amazon. That is Amazon employees with access to customer accounts are thieves
