Two in three Americans (67%) said they could live on sandwiches alone for a full week, according to new research.
The perfect sandwich, according to a survey of 2,000 Americans, consists of tomato (54%), cheddar cheese (39%) and Black Forest ham (39%). The survey also found that the average American craves a sandwich four times a week.
It seems that the best solution for your tastebuds and your wallet is a sandwich as 42% polled said they are actively looking for ways to cut down the cost of food, with sandwiches being a good money-saving option for 67% of respondents, according to a survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Buddig. For favorite ingredients, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise and honey mustard topped the list, all at 58%. The least favorite was ranch (26%).

Most important: in a sandwich, the meat must (must!) be sliced as thin as possible.
Thinly-cut meat exposes more meat to the “outside” of the slice, the tastiest part.
If you like thick-cut meat, put it on a plate and use a knife and a fork.
How thin? So thin that the slice is falling apart.

I was hooked on potato bread for years. It is still my favorite for sandwiches but I purchase low carb bread now. More expensive with little taste but I love sandwiches and don’t want the carbs. I also make sandwiches with low carb tortillas.
Has anyone here found a good gluten free sandwich bread?
Glutinos makes a pretty darn good English breakfast muffin that is gluten free. It’s the one Danny’s uses for their gluten free option.
Yep, salami needs to be paper thin. Ham needs to be so thin it's "shaved".

what is better than a sandwich of sliced juicy red tomato, fresh from the farm stand, on lightly toasted bread with mayo and freshly ground salt and pepper. yes!
