But, I am a fan of property rights.
The demonization of smoking and banning of smoking in bars and restaurants, ostensibly in the name of public health, was an effective government taking without compensation.
I hope smoking comes roaring back, and the anti- smoking Karens and Brandons lose their mind.
I used to love me a good cigar and a single malt, but since I lost my sense of smell, there’s no point innit.
Seeing a beautiful woman with a smoldering butt in her mouth is like seeing a million dollar house with a hundred thousand dollars of landscaping with a rusty burn barrel stinking up the place with smoke.
Can't stand the stench of the stuff.
Someone smoking, in addition to stench and health problems, shows a lack of self discipline, lack of self control and zero willpower.
I will know that the tide has changed when I read about somevof the surviving restaurants going back to reserve a small, discreet, well ventilated area of their business for people who like to smoke. I’m talking about tobacco only. As most people know, marijuana has a foul heavy odor that stays in the clothing. Not at all discreet.
A second phase of returning acceptance will be when/if airports do the same. That’s as far as I’ll go with my Pipe Dream.
I quit a long time ago.
But the country was a better place when “everybody” smoked. We were free to make decisions — even if they were bad decisions. We are much less free today ... but they tell us it’s for our own good, so I guess that makes it OK.
I have said for years, if you didn’t object to no smoking laws in restaurants you cannot logically object to any other gun control laws.
A restaurant should have the right to allow smokers or not as the owner sees fit.

I swear I smell more marijuana smoke now on the streets and in public (open) spaces than I ever smelled tobacco smoke as a kid
I recall once when I was on a business trip to Bedford, MA. Back when I was traveling a lot I would frequently eat dinner at the hotel bar and chat with other businessmen. The time in Bedford was interesting because they would not serve food to me at the bar, because…now get this…smoking was allowed at the bar. However, I could eat 15 feet away at a table.
Any group of people who don’t police themselves will be policed ... and they won’t like it.
Smokers arrogantly REFUSED to police themselves. They inevitably got policed, and didn’t like it.
Tough poop, smokers. No sympathy whatsoever for them.
Smoking is about as cool as picking your nose in public. While it is true that second hand smoke is not a health hazard, it is also true the second hand smoke is rude and inconsiderate so don’t be a a—hole and make any.
Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em. Just not around me.
The stench of stale cigarette smoke on my clothing and hair was hardly what I would ever have called nostalgic.
Good God, why? Why would you want more people to slowly poison themselves? More people with emphysema, spending their final days coughing up blood?
Cigarettes if anything were a tool of the Deep State, and Big Tobacco was sheltered for years by politicians as they lied and pushed poison on people. Cigarette companies were no better than Pfizer or Purdue Pharma.
Watch The Insider; Big Tobacco’s control of the mainstream media, entertainment, and government was a test run for the COVID scam and jab lies.
Well, we only have about 7 years left before the planet burns up so everyone might as well have all the wine, women, and song (and smokes) they want.
While you are at it, take out a 30-year house and 10-year car loan since you will not have to pay for it. No one needs to prepare for the future.
They didn’t think this “we all are gonna die” narrative through too well did they? Now, no one cares!
As long as I have a place to go in an establishment where there isn’t smoking, I couldn’t care less. Personally, I hate the smell (My olfactory senses are super sensitive) and almost all of my friends smoke, save maybe two of them. However, every now and again, I get a customer that smells like the cigarettes my grandmother used to smoke - Virginia Slims Ultra-Light Regular. That takes me back.
One thing to notice, the Globohomo Regime has all but outlawed tobacco, but has legalized or is going to legalize all hard drugs “for our health”.
Globohomo does push marijuana as had as it suppresses cigarettes.
Consider, tobacco: increases concentration, calms people down, suppresses appetite
dope: reduces attention span, increases paranoia, promotes gluttony
The Regime wants young people to be obese, paranoid, depressed, lonely, and satiated on fast food, dope, porn and video games
The last thing the Regime wants in young people meeting together, chain smoking cigarettes and plotting Revolution.
