It takes real skill to drive this many customers away.

The July 4th weekend was a 10-year-low for the massive company's Disney World amusement park in Orlando, but all the parks have been suffering recently.
More from The Wall Street Journal:
Park visitors in recent weeks have had significantly lower wait times to get on rides, according to data from Touring Plans, a company that tracks wait times at major amusement parks, including Disney World and Disneyland in California. Industry analysts say shorter wait times generally correlate with smaller crowds.
The average posted wait time at the Magic Kingdom park in Florida — which has a special fireworks display on July 4 — was 27 minutes this year for the holiday, down from 31 minutes in 2022 and 47 minutes in 2019, the Touring Plans analysis shows.
"It's something that nobody would have predicted — just unfathomable," says Len Testa, a computer scientist who runs Touring Plans. Testa says wait times rose in the following days.
The Journal offers an assortment of potential reasons for the lull: Cruises and European vacations are back after the pandemic, Disney isn't offering much new, and Disney wants to slim down the crowds for richer guests anyway.
But unlike the journalist class, most of America understands the two primary reasons:
Your wallet is hurting
Disney went woke
Expect the 30-year-old single fanboys keeping Disney afloat to back out once student loan repayment starts back up in September!
Florida Ping!...............
A combination of price gouging by Disney along with the sheer complexity of vacationing at the park. Also, perhaps a significant number of people are avoiding Disney.
Go Woke.....Go Broke
Looks like their are lots of people bending over to throw their money away though
Let’s see, a 30 minute wait for a 2 minute ride? Yea, that’s worth $100 a day......
You cannot prey upon and exploit children and then expect their parents to reward you with spending good money on your theme parks.
I fully expect some of the Disney princesses from the Disney Channel to start doing tell-alls about being exploited by Disney.
Awwwwwww! Boy does that suck!
There's a third reason. Increased vibrancy. There have been several viral videos, reported by the tabloids, about vibrant families beating the crap out of each other in the Magic Kingdom.
The Magic Kingdom has become an expensive woke ghetto. You can get that for free in the outside world.
Disney I think hurt most of all its traditional customers more than 1st time brand new customers. That comes from my own anecdotal information, than many traditional Disney customers have been repeat customers.
I have an adult sister with her adult daughter that make annual trips to Disneyland EVERY YEAR.
Its never been my thing, but apparently it had been for many people. Now Disney wokeness is making people question that loyalty.
When I was a kid, Disneyland was fairly affordable if you could get out to CA.
Then WDW opened, and it was closer to us, though it was a little more costly, but still pretty reasonable.
By the time I had kids, it was starting to be pretty expensive to go. We took the kids once.
I know I could never afford to take my one grandson there now, and furthermore, refuse to take him with all of the woke garbage they spew out now. No way!
I just about spit my drink there.
yay groomers!
disney is the biggest and bestest groomer in all the land!
When I went they had these little books of paper tickets to use for rides. The E tickets were for the most expensive rides.
They probably have upgraded that paper system by now..
Orlando in July? Yeah, no thanks.
My 2 children did 16 cruises with us before going to college. We never once went to any Disney place with them.
Cruises were a bargain compared to Disney, with 100 times better food and tons of other children on ship to play with well supervised by staff.
Between the expense and politics, nobody’s there.
Lgbt crap aside Disney is just too corporate with their entertainment. Only basic byatches patronize that company.
1. strained finances for many families
2. demographics
From everything I've heard among people in my circle of associates, immigrant families have no interest or no financial means to do silly vacations like a Disney trip.
