Marco Rubio has claimed that those who have come forward regarding claims about the U.S. government retrieving alien aircraft "have held very high clearances and high positions within our government."
The senior senator for Florida and vice chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence was cautious not to reveal who had already come forward with information as part of an investigation by Congress into the matter when he spoke to NewsNation on Monday.
"Frankly a lot of them are very fearful," the Republican senator said. "Fearful of their jobs, fearful of their clearances, fearful of their career." Similarly, others involved in the investigation have been guarded about the details of the probe.
At the beginning of June, House Oversight Committee chair James Comer announced an investigation into allegations that a top-secret military program already had a fully intact UFO in its possession.

Asked about who was coming forward as part of the investigation, Rubio said some were public figures who "we've heard from" in the past, while others had not spoken publicly on UFOs. Others, meanwhile, "still work in the government."
When questioned about whether he found the assertions credible, the senator responded that some of the claims "are beyond the realm of what any of us has ever dealt with," but that the inquiry would "intake the information without any prejudgement or jumping to any conclusions in one direction or another."
Rubio said: "I will say I find most of these people—at some point, or maybe even currently—have held very high clearances and high positions within our government, so you do ask yourself: 'What incentive would so many people with that kind of qualification... have to come forward and make something up?'"

I’m not too worried about the space aliens.
I know the secret words: “Klaatu barada nikto”,
I have Slim Whitman ready on the boombox
and a .50 Cal for the rest, if one of Bill Gates’ viruses doesn’t take them out first.
I just hopethere arent as many of them coming as the illegal terrestrial aliens.
Some people don’t get sarcasm, and they’ll take what you said at face value.
There’s nothing wrong with posting the truth, even in response to sarcasm.
With a billion hi-res cameras spread out across the planets, why are all the photos still gray and grainy globs and blobs?
Well, yes. At least frequently enough if you ask my ex-wife.;-)
Sorry I missed your other comments. Just popped in to check the thread.
“The distances that would have to be overcome for UFOs to show-up here are insurmountable. It’s just not possible.”
You sound like the folks in the Dark Ages saying radio waves cannot exist, airplanes are impossible—and anyone who claims otherwise is in the service of Satan.
Your conception of what is possible is a reflection on what you don’t know—and tells us nothing about what is or is not possible.
Lol - thanks.
And science is settled. Heavier than air machines can't fly. What idiocy!
Next you'll be saying that rocket ships can fly to the moon.
“... after their ontology gets smashed.”
Don’t you hate it when that happens?
It’s cool you know about everyone else’s ontology.
LOL!
And like the invention of the telescope. Some thought it was sorcery, black magic etc...No way can you see very distant objects without moving closer to them.
It's medieval thinking with a good amount of arrogance in the mix. With some people it's just baked into their brains. We've seen it all through history.
Can't blame 'em. It's a scary subject. It's no fun waking up to find out you aren't at the top of the food chain (and might be on the menu).
Not on top of the food chain? That’s a good description and part of human arrogance that was mentioned. Yep.

None that YOU have seen.
None. Nobody uses film anymore.
Just quote from what you refer. Easy peasy.
I have always thought that something is flying about in our atmosphere and into our oceans but I am also skeptical as hell about information coming from government sources. Alien flying machines or space ships may well be real but whatever the government says about the phenomena is not to be believe because of the reliability and history of the source.
Do you know anything about the Theory of Relativity?
I also think the distances are the great difficulty to accepting the idea of ‘visitors’.
But that’s not the main reason I don’t believe the so-called ‘whistleblowers’ we’ve seen in recent years - especially the ones who claim that we’ve definitely got ‘alien’ material and even bodies.
I don’t believe because they simply don’t come across as credible. I think most people who have any deep experience of human nature and aren’t overly credulous would feel the same way on observing them. They come across like con-men.
There’s also the issue of what can only be called ‘paranormal’ aspects to many sightings. (I don’t really believe in the concept of ‘paranormal’ or ‘supernatural’. If something happens, I think it’s natural, though we may not understand it at all.)
When they show us proof of a hard metal craft that’s been examined by many independent scientists who can verify it’s not possibly man-made somewhere, I’ll pay a little more attention. Even better, show us a little alien body that doesn’t look like it was manufactured in some warehouse in Hollywood. (And yet, how will you convince anyone of the truth of either, given the technology we have now to fake stuff?)
In the meantime, I’ll stick with my belief that these all represent some kind of psychological/psychic phenomena that are somehow intersecting with the visible, material world. Stories about such are hundreds if not thousands of years old, and nothing new.
