A 13-year-old girl was called “despicable” by her teacher at a Church of England school in the United Kingdom on Friday after asking a classmate how she identifies as a cat.
The schoolgirl and her friend were reprimanded by their teacher at Rye College in East Sussex at the end of an eighth-grade “life education” class, where they were told that they could “be who you want to be and how you identify is up to you,” The Telegraph reported.
Following the lesson one of the students asked a classmate: “How can you identify as a cat when you’re a girl?”
The teacher told the students they were being reported to school administrators and would no longer be welcome at the school if they continued to express the view that only boys and girls exist, according to a recording of the exchange.
In the clip, taken by one of the students, the teacher starts off by saying, “How dare you, you’ve just really upset someone” by “questioning their identity,” according to The Telegraph.

Ok... So.. Since when in the UK do cats need public education?
And are cats expected to take and pass written tests?
Its not hate, it is simply biology
The kids only identify as whatever to get their kicks
If this country really wants to make genuine progress, we would start by repealing the 19th Amendment and maybe the 26th. Too many women have shown themselves to be bats*** crazy with wokeism.
No, but they are expected to catch mice, cuddle and purr.
Simple: The kids need to report the teacher is keeping a “cat” in a public school classroom that is not neutered and needs to be sent to a shelter. Report the teacher for violating animal wildlife laws.
I used to identify as Superman, but I was smart enough to leap only as high as our couch.
We need to revoke the 14th while we’re at it. That’s the one that the leftists use to override the earlier amendments.
Then isn't it okay to identify as a girl who questions others' identities?
(If I'm supposed to "respect" somebody "identifying as a cat," the teacher darn well ought to respect my self-identification as a teacher.)
We actually have a couple of kids in our rural little area of southern Ontario that are making utter fools of the teachers.
One of them says she’s a cat, and another says she’s a tree.
I suggested they make the cat use the litter box and give it mice for lunch, and the tree needs to be planted out in the school yard.
What the hell is the matter with adults today that they are going along with this insanity?
A is A.
US or UK, this goes one-way only.
For example, should a student self-identify and dress as Robert E. Lee all hell would break loose. No respecting of personal choice there.
“I suggested they make the cat use the litter box”
I did read several months ago that some Colorado schools ARE bringing in litter boxes for the kids identifying as cats.
What the hell is WRONG with people????
Kid should of said, “well then if that is how you feel, I identify as your father and you will not talk to me that way, give me your phone and go sit in the corner for 15 minutes.”
I used to identify as a werewolf when I was about 5 years old, and I used to run around the back yard in our house in Ft. Lauderdale playing Lon Chaney Jr. I was a 1970s kid in the full bloom of monster mania (oh, those were the days...)
I had mastered the perfect Universal Studios wolf howl.
But I grew out of it pretty quickly when I realized I didn’t change with the moon.
This generation will get their a$$e$ handed to them with reality... and I’m just sorry that we sane ones, collectively, will have to feel the effects of their stupidity.
This ‘teacher’ is a lunatic....................
Dude...
Over in the Saginaw school district, they have “people” that identify as cats.
They even have litter boxes in the bathroom for them.
What if some of the students are allergic to cats?
