I voted for Trump twice, I despise him, and there’s a lot of Republicans just like me.
So the question is...as the convention ends, and if DeSantis only takes out-right wins in Utah, California, Oregon, Hawaii and Washington (not even taking more than 30-percent of the FL vote)....will you settle upon Trump or go to Biden/Harris?
I lived in Manhattan in the 70’s and 80’s. Trump was a local notable at the time.
I hated him.
But in the 90’s I came to respect him because he survived the real estate collapse of the early 90’s. His net worth went negative and he was up against it with his creditors. But he manned up against it all, survived and then went on to have greater successes. He built a whole skyline on the west side of manhattan.
Knowing something about Manhattan—I thought these were herclean feats. As amazing as Musk.

The problem is while I despise some attributes of Trump, he is so much better than any of the alternatives. He does fight back and he kept his word more than the typical GOP politician. I really despise Bush, Romney, McCain, Kemp, Kasich, and Ryan much more. I think a lot of Republicans agree with me.
His voters probably do love him…but I don’t think there will be many of them.
I notice he’s still refusing to debate anybody and is going to go with the Biden technique of few - and highly managed - public appearances where he never has to state a policy or give anybody any reason to vote for him except that he’s Trump.
But we’re in crucial times now, and I don’t think most voters will be willing to throw away their vote being a tool to stroke his ego.
I voted for Trump twice, I despise him
What turned you democrat.
Ron DeSantis will never be POTUS. There aren't enough republicans 'just like you' to make it happen without Trump voters.
I voted for Trump 20 years ago for his golf related activities. I will vote for him for next 20 years. This man is least in the pockets of his rich donor class.
DeSantis and every other career politician are just puppets of their rich donor class.
What stood out as worthy of your support earlier, and what did he then do, repeatedly different, that it turned you off to the point you --->despise (!)<--- him?
What is so despising-ly different?
Was it his escalating mean tweets?
His russian espionage and election tampering?
His rape of that chick in the Manhatten dressing room?
His relationship with the korean dictator?
His racism displayed by not allowing certain people to immigrate
His lying to CNN all the time?
The stealing of classified records after his presidency
Or the sedan de grass:His obvious lying of election fraud?
Big on culture war I take it
Amazing how many here think it’s still politics as usual
Rah rah republicans
We are way past that
I look at the DC political class, the uni party, the Rinos, the establishment types like the Bush family. I really don’t care how likeable Donald Trump is or isnt. He didn’t lie to the voter and kept his promises whole in office against the most extreme attacks and 2 impeachment attempts.
I will vote for President Trump a third time, and not regret it. Others must follow their conscious. Too bad so many criticize personality and totally forget accomplishments. George Bush, Barak Obama even Jimmy Carter were very presidential.
Amen, Bro’!
And i will vote for him again
What policies did you despise? Be specific.
He saved us from Hillary. So there’s that.
“I voted for Trump twice, I despise him, and there’s a lot of Republicans just like me.”
Not so many, lucky for most of us and unlucky from your viewpoint, for you. You are on the short end of the stick.
“I voted for Trump twice, I despise him, and there’s a lot of Republicans just like me.”
I can’t say that I ‘despise’ DeSantis, rather I think he’ll just be another Uniparty-controlled Republican, given his position on the Ukraine War.
