Ron DeSantis will never be POTUS. There aren't enough republicans 'just like you' to make it happen without Trump voters. I believe that if DeSantis turns out to be a strong Trump administration Attorney General that helps drain the swamp, he would stand a good chance of winning the GOP vote in 2028.
My prediction has always been that Trump wins in 2024, nominates Ted Cruz for Attorney General, Cruz then leaves in 2026 to run for Governor of Texas, and Trump nominates DeSantis after his term as Governor of Florida ends in 2026.
