I am not attacking Trump. I will criticize him when I think he’s wrong or do you think he’s above criticism.
Interesting that you use the term ‘policy cult’. If only wanting to support actions that return us to Constitutional government is a cult then paint me guilty. (Meaning Constitution as the text is written no ‘penumbra or emanations’ as USSC Justice William O. Douglas claimed to see!)
I’ve said this many times on this forum I thought Trump in governing out-Reaganed Reagan. It was something I didn’t expect! I voted for Trump in 2016 to keep power away from Hellary. I expected him to govern as the Rockefeller administration that never was. Why would I think anything different? After all he was a New York Republican (and sometimes a democrat!), I was just glad it wasn’t Hellary. Given his governing - his policies! I happily voted for him in 2020. Did I think he made some serious mistakes? Yes, he did! (Do you think he’s incapable of mistakes?) For example, he got snookered in his COVID management and apparently continues to not see he was conned! That’s a huge mistake and it will be used against him. He needs to acknowledge he was fooled if not publicly at least to himself. He needs to do that because it will be ‘weaponized’!
My support for Trump is conditional as is my support for any politician. Anyone supports a politician nonconditionally just because he ‘is’; is indeed in a cult!

Apparently you missed the rallies. At the end of every rally, he gives his important beliefs and intentions about the current situation and adds a few new ones that he hasn't mentioned before.
That's part of the reason I watch them.

I can’t say that I ‘despise’ DeSantis, rather I think he’ll just be another Uniparty-controlled Republican, given his position on the Ukraine War.
