How’s the calf doing?

I see this as spite for rejecting the authority’s diktats. Why euthanize if it will die on its own after a possible parent rejection?

“Approaching wild animals can affect their well-being and their survival, NPS said.”
There is no better way to ensure an animal’s well-being and survival than euthanasia. A zoo or game preserve would be too cruel./sarc

This is BS. I've come to the aid of calves with completely nasty cow mothers who didn't reject the calf afterward. Heck, I had to have one on my lap in the back of a side by side because it's witchy cow left it on the other side of the fence after she led him to an outside pasture. She didn't reject him when they were reunited. All PS had to do was clear the area of tourists and let nature take its course.

So you’re saying they euthanized the innocent calf instead of the intruder who ignored instructions? They must be liberals.

Yellowstone National Park says encounter between park visitor and bison calf forced authorities to euthanize animal
Unclear headline, was the euthanized animal the baby bison or the park visitor?

We must burn the village to save it.

The calf was later seen by visitors walking up to and following both cars and people, creating a hazard for those nearby, NPS said. For those who say the NPS had no reason to euthanize the calf, the reason is clearly stated above.

Idiots. Many years ago a friend worked for the forest service at Sequoia Park. He quit after a few years. The final straw was coming upon a tourist who was attempting to push a black bear into the driver seat of his car next to his wife so he could get a photo. That’s what he said anyhow.
I was at Yellowstone a few years back and saw other insanity. Like tourists walking up to a Moose cow to get closeups.
