Yo, this is a pretty wild video out of Charleston County, South Carolina, and it tells you a whole lot about what police officers are faced with on a daily basis.
This may seem like your everyday traffic stop — the car being pulled over for swerving — however, the man in the passenger seat is a convicted felon, and officers spoke with him for about five minutes before asking him to get out of the vehicle.
Here's what happened when they did that (I'm going to warn you that while you don't see blood, the perp gets smoked in this video).

Man, those two officers are lucky to be alive.
The speed at which they were both able to take cover is just beyond comprehension.
That training sure paid off.
The incident happened in Ravenel shortly before 4:00 p.m. when Deputies Evan Cubbage and Alexander Hodge conducted a traffic stop on a black Crown Victoria…
The suspect, identified as James Pierce (28) of Walterboro, was hit and died at the scene.
Deputy Cubbage was also shot three times.
Always sad to see a life go like that, even if it is a bad guy.

Notice how when asked if there were any firearms in the vehicle the answer was "no."
Seriously, the police deal with a lot more than we think they do.
So next time you see a protest break out over a man who's been shot by police, I want you to ask some serious questions about how it happened and what led up to the shooting.
Because it's not always as simple as what they tell you on CNN.
[T]he deputies involved in the shooting are on paid administrative leave, per protocol. While the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the deputy-involved shooting, the sheriff's office said it conducts an internal investigation into all shootings involving its deputies.
I don't disagree with this rule.
Probably a good rule.

“ I have a few questions..
1) If they pulled over the car for swerving, why did they approach on the passenger side?
2) Why were they not speaking to the driver, if the vehicle was pulled over for swerving.
3) What prompted the roadside interrogation?
4) What action prompted the officer asking the perp to step out of the vehicle?
Non of these legitimate questions were addressed in the article.

1) they approached the side away from traffic. Cops have been killed by inattentive drivers of other cars on traffic stops.
2) They WERE speaking to the driver,
3) if you listen to the conversation (there’s a COMPLETE video at the linked site) the car’s tags were expired and that and registration was the primary discussion with the driver.
4). The felon was likely acting as suspicious as hell… OFFICER SAFETY.
The Deputy was respectful to the point of acting friendly, and said he was going to let the no insurance issue slide (not sure about the weaving problem). What triggers some fool like this, when he knows the cops have the whole scene on camera? Prior felonies? Serious warrants?

By the way, this was clearly a RIGHTEOUS police shooting.
There are tons of “bad guys” in this nation who need a dirt nap.
The Deputy was respectful to the point of acting friendly.........until they tried to kill him....................
I’d be practicing my quick draw if I were that first officer.....
and the woman didn’t even drop her ciggy.
I’ve done a citizen police academy class and one session was all of us trying our hand at handling a traffic stop role play, with various scenarios presented to us. It was quite interesting and VERY illuminating. Things can go south really fast, and it’s very easy to hide guns in a vehicle.
gotta give the fat white-trash chick driver credit: she burst out of the driver’s door screaming and covering her ears, all without dropping her lit cigarette ...

The other night, I was pulled over for the first time in many years (innocent reason - no ticket). The officer came to the passenger side and spoke to me that way, which must be what the police do now.
They say Black Lives Matter, but apparently he did not think so, because he threw his life away..............
