Live in Florida now, would love Trump in high office, and I want DeSantis here for 3 more years.
Don’t post dumb vanities that stir the pot.
I’m also on that team.
We should be able to discuss things without getting ugly.
Trump earned it. It was stolen from him. He was stellar in almost every metric. He is a true patriot.
I felt he had some major failures in COVID, I don’t like his perjorative remarks, he is not aware enough of the dangers of homo agenda, and he seems to have personnel issues. That’s it for my negatives.
Ideally I want him in 2024 and DeSantis in 2028 and 2032. If they would treat each other as respected competitors it would be nice.
MAGA voters aren’t on the side of ‘fight out the nomination.’
A stolen election kept incumbent Trump from serving his 2nd term. MAGA believes that.
Trump has incumbent status to millions of MAGA voters.
Any R running against that is certainly in their right.
But MAGA voters have their candidate even if the R team machine doesn’t.
Stolen elections have consequences.
I’ve been leaning towards DeSantis and it began when Trump started giving him stupid nicknames. Of course Trump still has the majority but after listening to DeSantis today, I think he’ll pull in more folks. I’m just not sure how many people watched his 2 speeches today. But then again, I loved Trump’s performance on CNN, so I’m torn.
If you believe that he lost in 2020 due to cheating and the election was stolen while he was the incumbent, how is he, as a non-incumbent, going to stop it this time?
So, why would DeSantis run? He's being paid off by the GOP establishment.
1. We don't need another Ivy League lawyer in Washington.
2. We don't need another career politician who has never worked outside government in the White House.
3. In relative terms, DeSantis is flat broke. He will do whatever his political handlers and financial backers tell him to do. We don't need a managed, manicured tool in the White House.
4. RDS takes days or weeks to say things that Donald Trump says on the spur of the moment because he believes it so firmly that it comes naturally to him. We don't need another hapless, poll-testing phony in the White House.
5. Donald Trump has all the right enemies.
6. Ron DeSantis has all the wrong friends.
7. I won't support any presidential candidate whose home hasn't been raided by the Democrat Gestapo, and who hasn't been prosecuted by a Democrat sh!t-bag prosecutor in a Democrat sh!t-hole jurisdiction.
THE END.
I share your concerns.
Trump was an absolute disaster when it came to choosing aides, vice presidents, attornies general, top level assistants, lawyers, trusted advisors and etc.
What’s changed since then? Are we to believe his second term wouldn’t be filled with more of the same assorted morons?
Just something to think about.
Personally I like Trump and I like DeSantis. Both have a tendency to be a bit over the top but meek and humble gets no where in politics. And they both have done things I approve of and things I disapprove of. So I like either and I will take both.
I feel one needs to focus on the things President Trump accomplished for our country DESPITE the backstabbing traitors within his administration and those in the opposition party and in the national media. Meanwhile RD has a very good conservative track record, BUT if you read the recent articles and comments of those who are closely monitoring him and his financial backers he appears to be very much an establishment Republican closely aligned with the Bush people. That, in my view, is not good.
Two things I’ve been telling people for months in regard to the coming election: (1) pay close attention to who it is your enemies are most viciously attacking and VOTE for that person; (2) regardless of what criticisms you may have of your preferred candidate NEVER voice those criticisms BEFORE the election. Anyone who cannot follow those two simple guidelines, whether knowingly or not, is aiding and abetting their enemy.
Donald John Trump has ALL the right enemies.
Ronald Herbert Walker DeSantis has ALL the wrong friends.
Any questions?
LOL people won’t fling garbage in this thread? Too naive, FRiend!
You bring up good points, good questions. Would be nice if we could discuss civilly.
You’re asking the right questions. There are many intellectual pygmies who cannot stand to hear a word against Trump, or ponder what you ask.
This isn’t an answer but it’s worth thinking about: If Democrats have such solid control over the election mechanism that they can rig the outcome, why are they working so hard to keep Trump from even getting the nomination?
If it would be no different, why are the Communist, deep state, entrenched corrupt ruling class and their leftist media trying so damn hard to stop Trump any way possible?
Trump: DeSantis is a terrible governor who is wrecking Florida and he wouldn’t have been governor except for me.
Trump supporters: DeSantis is Establishment, owned by Paul Ryan and the Bushes, and he ought to wait and lead the MAGA movement in 2028. Unless he wants to be VP.
In a head to head match, if DeSantis joins the race, he will win. Trump is a boorish bully, and while he did accomplish success with the Supreme Court, across-the-board otherwise his efforts were mixed in often turned around before the ink dried. I am tired of the Personal drama, the poor choices he’s made, he and his mail order wife can enjoy retirement.
