BOMBSHELL! Bud Light Parent Company, AB Inbev, is Going to be Fine. BOOM! (Vanity)

I hate to say this, I really do, but Bud Light parent company AB Inbev is going to be just fine, even after this whole fake woman fiasco. I also hate saying that even the Conservative side has #fakenews, and the constant pounding of Bud Light by Conservative media outlets is kind of outrageous, and only serves to further rile us up.

Here's the truth:

I've been watching the AB Inbev stock since this whole thing started. As of March 31, the stock was sitting at $66, slightly under the 52 week high, $20 above the 52 week low. Since then, it has bounced between $63 - $66 per share. Today it is sitting at $65.

Have their sales suffered? Absolutely. Estimates have their losses from this around $6 or $7 billion. That may or may not be true. I've yet to find anything with substantive proof that is the case, however, but we can work with it. We'll call it $7 billion, which is certainly plausible with the size of the present boycott. Now, consider the fact that, last year, AB Inbev made $58 BILLION. Overall, they are a company worth $130 billion. At the end of the day, $7 billion will make a tidy little tax write off.

Will the stock sink at some point? It's entirely possible. If it's going to happen, I think it will happen sometime in July, when their 2nd quarter earnings report is released. Unfortunately, by that point, we will have mostly forgotten about the whole situation. We'll be too occupied by the next thing to come along. Americans have very, very short attention spans. So, while it may slump a little, it will rebound and probably fairly quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Bud Light. My beef with Bud Light stems less from them putting a fake woman on a beer can, and more from the fact that it's a crappy beer. The reason I'm writing this is because I'm getting so sick and tired of #CLICKBAIT #FAKENEWS Conservative so-called "News Outlets", such as Gateway Pundit, Sean Hannity among others. It's time we do better and quit listening to these clickbait machines whose only goal is to rile us up. We got enough to be riled up about without having these individuals and websites working to rile us more with the claims they are making.

It will go the way of Tab and Zima.

That may be, but I doubt it. But, even if AB Inbev did away with Bud Light entirely,m it wouldn't hurt them in the long run. As you point out, minuscule amount of revenue to begin with and people not drinking it.

That poses another question, though. If they were that small in the revenue department and no one is drinking them anyhow, how does that translate to $6 or $7 BILLION loss? I know, they have other brands that people also aren't drinking. But I don't think that is going to constitute a huge loss like is being reported.

Have I summed up things well enough?

Well, for the fantasy land you're living in, I suppose. But you should actually try reading the post and my responses. You'll see that's not it at all.

Looks like Bud Light is destined to become the Royal Crown Cola of alcohol.

AB Inbev could eliminate Bud Light completely, and they will still be just fine.

Figured you’d counter with an ad hominem. The premise of your whole vanity is the same as O’Brien’s in 1984: that power is collective and such power cannot be defeated.

Without getting into the anti-trust settlement and weeds, Corona Modelo brands are owned by InBev Bud except for the USA. Budweiser had to divest a Corona brewery in Mexico as part of its merger with Groupo Modelo. Constellation Brands which is a major American wine and distilled spirits producer and marketer got a sweetheart deal and is the beneficiary of Corona, Modelo and Pacifico sales domestically.

However as Bid Light goes down, everyone involved in this decision in that samll part of the company is suffering, and some will end up fired and lsoe their jobs, which will serve as a lesson to others.

You don’t need to kill the company. You just need to make each individual afraid for their own job, and this is certainly doing that.

They can be fine without me.

Feel bad for all the people that work in the Budweiser breweries - they didn’t cause this crap.

I found a copy. It seems to have Portuguese text on it, but it is in English. It's the same video, just with Portuguese subtitles on it.

Lol. Why is this a "bombshell"/"boom"?

Are you one of the GOP aides hired to help A-B?

This boycott was not intended to bring A-B down, nor was it going to big A-B down. It was intended to give A-B a big financial hit.Don't care if they write it off or not. From what we understand it is affecting their sales in a considerable amount.

The boycott is successful if we all unitedly freeze the target, and focus on that target. No need to boycott all of them, but pick one and focus.

Every time we start a boycott on this conservative activist forum, there are a few posters who come on to tell everyone that it is pointless to boycott. Sounds like a bunch of paid lobbyists.

We are making a dent with Bud Light. Regardless of the naysayers and those who are lobbying for the tranny promo group.

So - let me see if I understand where you’re coming from - we should all give up, surrender, throw in the towel because - Ambev is too big to be beaten We can’t affect anyone because our boycotts will never do anything Stocks aren’t being affected at all, so what’s the point

BINGO...Those who have a vested interest will tell all that. Investors only care about profits. Profits regardless of consequences...They're rotten individuals. They only care about their personal accounts.

Same with the thousands of business owners who hire thousands of illegals. Profits regardless of consequences.

These greedy bastards flat out suck.

True, however Bud Lite is, I believe, the largest brand beer in America and losing 20 plus percentage points is YUGE. Anything in double digits is YUGE.

You can’t poopoo this like the lefties want you to do, troll. It could come to the point where they might have to fold Bud lite all together because of the damage done. That is a real possibility. And this is indeed significant for conservatives and everyone else.

My business partner changed beer, from Bud Light to Michelob Ultra. Same company. Me, I went to Coppertail.

No company that loses one-third of its sales of a nation’s most popular brand ‘is going to be fine.’

So, you’re losing 12 sales but the company’s fine.

Nope. That’s just this week and it continues to slide. First week down just 6%, then second week 11%, then 26%. This trend line is death for any company. And how long til it starts spreading to other parts of the brand? Trust me, if it was “ok,” they wouldn’t have made TWO apologies and brought in GOP consultants and handed out subsidies to their wholesalers already.

Not to mention that the people who worked for the Bud Light brand will become unemployed as a result.

It might happen, but likely the company will switch to brewing one of the other hundred of brews they own. The parent company Belgian-Brazilian brewing company is a Behemoth of a company.

The big question is was the bad decision to put the trans on a beer made by the executives in the America becoming more liberal or by executives in the even more liberal country/countries of Belgian-Brazilian. I don't hardly know anything about the government of Brazil but what I understand Belgian is really WOKE/liberal/socialistic country along with most of Europe.
