Some of the world’s most powerful women are calling it quits.
Last week, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, also one of Google’s earliest employees, announced she’s leaving the company to “start a new chapter focused on my family, health, and personal projects I’m passionate about,” she wrote in a note to employees.
The announcement came days after Meta confirmed chief business officer Marne Levine is stepping down after 13 years with the company in order to “recharge and prioritize some quality time with family” before beginning her “next professional chapter.” She’s the third female C-suite leader to leave Meta in recent years, following chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg’s exit in 2022 and global ad chief Carolyn Everson’s in 2021.
And in global politics, Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon resigned this month after more than eight years in the role, saying no one should stay in a political role for too long, while New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said in January she had “no more in the tank” to lead the country, and that she’d step down and not seek re-election.
These are just a few high-profile examples of a trend that shows women leaders are leaving their organizations at the highest rate ever, widening the quitting gap between women and men in senior roles, according to recent data from LeanIn.org and McKinsey & Company.
To give some context, for every woman stepping into a director-level leadership role, two are choosing to leave, says Alexis Krivkovich, McKinsey senior partner and an author of the joint Lean In and McKinsey “Women in the Workplace” report.
The pattern has the potential to unwind decades of progress toward gender equity and increased female leadership in the workplace, she tells CNBC Make It. “It’s a huge concern and worth focusing on.”

Maybe the could make us a sammich.
(Running and ducking)
“gender equity and increased female leadership in the workplace”
They have turned most large corporate workplaces into woke nightmares.
Their work is done.

I see the problem, right there.
No matter how hard they try nature will not be denied.
Yeah, I'm really worried about this.. (zzzzzzz)
Denying human nature leads to insanity. Men are the ones designed to go out and face the world, to hunt, to fight, to compete, to bring back the bacon.
There is no denying human nature!
Glad Susie Woj Chick is gone.
Not an option for Men. But women can scale still down for ‘family reasons.’
Is C-suite some kind of inside joke?
Exactly. They bought into the feminist lie and with crazed zeal they fought “the patriarchy”. Now they can sit back and enjoy their boxed, lesbian partner, and their myriad cats whom they regard as children.
Uncle Isaac’s Paradox:
“Never, EVER ask her to make you a sammich after sex. Foolish request. If she can walk and stand to make the sammich you have NOT EARNED a sammich. If she is unable to walk or stand, you HAVE earned the sammich, but she CAN’T make it for you. Just don’t...”
My buddy Ben’s Uncle at a bachelor party in 1992. Never to be forgotten.
An abbreviation for Corner Office - for a CEO, usually a couple of places — office, private meeting room, sometimes even a bathroom or nap creche. Corner Suite turns into C-Suite
Susan Wojcicki has 5 kids, the youngest about 8. I could see why she wants to step away for the rat race.
Some stayed in lesser roles and no longer volunteered to share their expertise. No more listening to "pound me too (#metoo)" misandry, "men are misogynists", no walking on eggshells among lunatics, and very key, no more mentoring. Good luck woman, you're on your own.
As men avoid the misandry of the corporate environment, these women quickly discover that their corporate teams don't have the skills necessary to do the job.
Many female job candidates fail to ask themselves why the position was open to start with. Why did the last person leave?
I know several women who were coached into taking positions that were really just being set up for failure.
"This is a great opportunity for you."
"This will lead to even better positions."
"This is a smart move for you."
They quickly found out why guys refused to apply for the position.
This is nothing new. Men and women, on average over large groups, have always tended to make different choices, including striking different work/life balances.
There are now more varieties of feminism than Heinz has ketchups. The radical feminists went off the rails when they moved beyond seeking equal rights and the removal of barriers to entry. They began to define men as the enemy, dismiss and often stigmatize children and family, normalize promiscuity, and enshrine androgeny as the ideal.
A whole generation of young women has been sold a pack of lies. Women are beginning to catch on and push back. Being a good worker drone so that you can take expensive vacations, dine at expensive restaurants, and dress expensively as you wander through a solitary and childless life is not a fulfilling path for most women. Or most men.
It’s not worth climbing the ladder in most organizations for men or women. There are very few that want to dedicate that amount of time and energy. If anyone wants any balance in life it’s not worth it. I see it at work. Females think those high level positions go from 8-5 to 730-530. They don’t. It’s a lifestyle.
WHAT'S THAT?
I worked for women for more than 15 years and NEVER got fair, respectful or honest treatment.. .Working for a woman is a real nightmare!
When I finally had a male boss, I got more respect and consideration than any woman ever showed me
As the economy tanks, companies must perform. My experience has been women rarely perform at the top.
Too bad they found out the hard way that work does not buy happiness. Now they want to become mothers.
