They count “kids” that are hardened gang bangers in this figure. The town I live in is a hunting and fishing community, and in 40 years, not one child,has lost their life due to accidental discharge despite a vast majority of families having had guns present in the home all their lives

Heck, I haven’t read any stories about surrounding neighborhoods and towns having fatalities either.

5. Heart disease (3%)

Accidents account for nearly 50% of all teenage deaths. Among these, motor vehicle fatalities are the leading cause of teenagers’ deaths.

The leading cause is the dysfunction in the inner-city where the culture fosters tribalistic warfare divided by red and blue clothing. Sound familiar? Those dumping drugs and making the most money profit regardless of what gang stands on the corner.

Step away from the inner-city and the tragic violence among minority youth and the majority of the US is similar to Europe or Canada. The numbers are obvious.

“Gun laws” won’t change anything but like lock-downs, masks, and social distancing, it makes people feel like “something is being done about it” even as it ignores the root cause(s).
