That’s an old stat back from 1800s. The leading cause of death for “da childrens” in today’s world is standing on the edge of a cliff and taking a “selfie”.
The leading cause of obesity in children is their hands (how junk and fast food get into their mouths).
How many of these “children” are older teens in criminal gangs ?
There are very few, again very few children killed by abortion. There are embryos that are removed from a uterus. But at that point they aren’t considered children…..at least until they are sucking wind.
I use myself as an example with the wannabe gun grabbers in my midst.
I’ve had guns my whole life. Heck, when I was a kid I had a couple of rifles in my room, and my grandfather’s shotgun. Knew where my Dad’s .38 was, because he showed me where he kept it for home protection and he was always working. Took me out shooting with it so I knew how to use it. I was probably ten.
I had a horrendous temper when I was a kid. It literally never occurred to me to use those weapons even at my angriest moments.
Most people who have been around guns all of their lives, and had access to them, have never used them to hurt anyone.

Make no mistake, the attack on “firearms” is no more than an exuse for not making concerted efforts to go after and lock up the criminals.

I’m sure a lot of kids had anger issues to one extent or another- me included- and yep- noone ever grabbed a gun in our towns that i know of- we settled our differences without extreme violence- kids today are growing up with extreme rage OR in areas where kids carry and use- but still i highly doubt the leading cause of deaths is guns in kids-
Good news is that half of those children were shooting back.
The “children” that are being counted are usually 16-19.
More children die in accidental deaths by drowning than in accidental deaths with firearms.
The statistic of the Orwellian term "gun violence" combines accidents, murders, self defense, and suicide all together to come up with a statistic, the purpose of which, is to push public disarmament.
Those divergent events all have different causes and cures, but are lumped together to push gun control.
Children is defined as under 18 years old. Chicongo is very hazardous for children. Teens are being wasted in large numbers by their own hands being involved in gangs.
