McDonald's upcoming new burger recipe is touted to be more tasty for hamburgers and Big Macs. That's all well and good for us humans, but that means no more plain burgers for our canine friends, because onions are harmful to dogs.
Can we test this theory by giving Elizabeth Warren a couple Big Macs to see if she keels over?
It’s likely not good for humans either. The fish sandwich is all I ever order from Mcds.
The $1 drink specials not a bad deal either.
I haven’t ordered a full sized burger from any restaurant in over 20 years. A small burger is all you need, and not from mcds.
Thems ain’t carmelized onions pardner. You vill eat Ze McMaggot sandwich.
Don’t feed people food to your dog and then you won’t have a problem.
I go with Royal Canine
Onions are harmful for me too.
The self chewing sammich. Yum
I am going to guess “melty cheese” is cheese that is more “melty” at room temperature, like...Cheez Whiz.
God Help us, but that sounds disgusting. I don’t eat McDonald’s burgers, but...that would be even worse.
Who eats McDonald’s anyway?
LOL
Onions arent fit for dogs.... not just rehydrated McDs onions
“A small burger is all you need.”
Speak for yourself... Our homemades are 1/2 pound...
Like the panic reporting about dogs and chocolate. Useful for the blue-hairs that might share a box of chocolates with their four pound Yorkie...not so much for anyone else.
I’m with you. So if l understand this correctly you can no longer order a Big Mac minus onion because the onions are imbedded into “meat”
Enough people that they open a new restaurant every 14.5 hours and rake in $6 Billion of net profit.
Yep, I’ve been feeding my 80 lb (~18 kilo) dog McDs burgers with that little bit of onion on them for years. He won’t touch chicken McNuggets anymore even though he eats pretty much everything he can find on the sidewalk.
I’m not sure what this means.
The lethal effect occurs at 0.005 of body weight.
For my 80 pound dogs, that would be 0.4 pounds of onions.
The size of the small patty is 1.6 oz or 0.1 pounds.
One wonders if McDonalds will put a warning label on their burgers.
Why are onions bad for dogs but good for humans?
Onions contain a compound called N-propyl disulfide that is harmless for humans, but can cause red blood cells in dogs to break down.
You must be that girlfriend who is shown the door after arguing about what constitutes ‘dog food’.......
People rich enough to buy restaurant food for their dogs can afford an alternative, perhaps Wendy’s or Burger King.
Yes. But my point was bigger than that.
