...Ding Lieyun, a scientist at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology...helped construct an egg-shaped habitat prototype, which is made up of 3D-printed bricks made from lunar soil. Ding's team had a robot called Chinese Super Mason lay these bricks on top of each other.
The idea is to reduce the amount of material needed to be sent from Earth, while making the construction process as straightforward as possible.
According to the SCMP, Ding and his team are hoping to construct the first bricks on the surface of the Moon in just five years' time as part of the country's Chang'e-8 mission.

They are assuming they can steal Musk’s rocket plans in sufficient time to accomplish this.
There are going to be a lot of shocked folks around here when China places human settlements on the moon while NASA and Musk are busy making excuses.

Musk is still tied at the hip to NASA—dead weight that is going be a major obstacle for Musk.

This already happened when both China and Russia launched hypersonic missiles that can circle the world, or are even now being used in battle. Meanwhile Lockheed just cancelled their USAF program and Raytheon is still in development on theirs.

China can talk all it wants, a hypersonic missile and a moon landing are completely different things.
