Classified as a megabat, these flying foxes can weigh up to three pounds with a wingspan of up to five and a half feet.
Still, anyone would probably jump if they turned the corner and saw this bat snoozing in their garage. Luckily, giant golden-crowned flying foxes really have no interest in humans. Their diet primarily consists of figs and leaves.
...its main predators are large birds of prey like eagles. They are also hunted by reticulated pythons and, unfortunately, humans who use them for their bushmeat. This act, as well as deforestation, are two of

You mean the José Greco’s de Morte? The flaminco dancers of death?
That would depend on what your definition of "size" is. Flying creatures generally are much lighter than they appear. North American buzzards (turkey & black) look YUGE but only weigh about four pounds. Flying foxes weigh less than that.
Nice! It's been ages since I'd seen that graphic! Thanks martin_fierro.

“What if this bat only feeds on liberals and Democrats?”

In Britain, all bat species, and their roosts are fully protected by law. The government is strict when it comes to removing those types of bats from your property. If you buy a house, and it’s inhabited by bats, you are advised to leave them alone. If you need to have work done on an area of the house where bats roost, you may need to hire a bat expert to do a survey, and you should call the Bat Trust for advice. If you cannot avoid harming bats or their habitats with the work that needs to be done, you need to apply for a mitigation licence from Natural England. Sometimes they will make arrangements to move the bats to a separate bat structure away from the house.

That makes perfect sense, since the bats are native to Australia-the horses are not-they are imports-some people are just bad about killing everything they don’t like, threat or not...
They are cute-I put up a couple of bat houses in the trees here-I like to watch them flying around eating insects-they are a part of a healthy ecosystem...
What sort of houses do they like? I’d like to put up one for one that flits around here at evening time, named him/it Barney.
Oh, F-that. Mag dump city on that thing.
I just made them from the plans on some websites-the one I used was a simple one that was on a Texas wildlife site, but there are plans at every website about bats-try the parks and wildlife sites first-they look like the best ones...
