Well that’s the puzzling part. Why would Bragg let him testify knowing it would likely hurt Bragg’s case? The most reasonable answer to that is New York is one of the jurisdictions in which exculpatory evidence MUST be presented to a GJ, and Bragg had to comply with the request to avoid destroying his own career completely.
The other possibility is that Bragg isn’t really in charge of this case and he’s being compelled to move forward with the case by White Hats. The result is that a known Trump hater and leftist in one of the most left cities in the nation just called a witness who exonerated PDJT in the eyes of the entire world. If a Trump supporter had done it, the left wouldn’t accept it. They must be apoplectic having to accept it from one of their own. The only question that remains is who was behind the whole charade?

One of the strategies in the game is to get the final tallies as close as possible so as to negate standing for recounts and give the “courts” the leeway they need to dismiss any challenges. Everything is so corrupt ... again, if white hat teams weren’t all over this in 2018, 2020 and 2022, then there’s no hope for fair + legal elections.

Facts have not mattered so long now, until the complaints take on all the ambience of a faucet drip, and IF there is repair, anywhere, it’s confined to some little county whose name is not remembered.
No one is listening any longer. Apparently, if there ever were to be sweeping enforcement, even that would be confined to Red states.

I think the D/A risked blatant misconduct charges if Costello wasn’t allowed to appear so they had to let him testify but, in his estimation, thought they could limit the damage by simply asking him questions about 6 “cherry picked” e-mails he’d provided and he (Costello) then interjected that there were 600 more pages the GJ should look at. I don’t know how “responsiveness” in answering legal questions applied here but it’s the kind of thing where prosecutors probably thought they could curtail the damage by limiting what he could + would say but Costello was determined to expose the truth and spilled the beans & now they can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube to clash metaphors.

What is worse is if Kari Lake loses the court case the DA will likely file some kind of none sense charge against her.

Since I don't know how they work, my guess would be that the GJ can bring in anyone they want to testify. Maybe Bragg couldn't do anything.
