Seven million people could die of diseases linked to excessive salt consumption before the decade's end unless governments immediately pass tighter restrictions on salt, a report by the World Health Organization warned this month. Its authors are calling on governments to implement stricter sodium targets for food, mark salt content more clearly on packaging and boost public awareness of the health dangers posed by eating a lot of salty food.
"Excessive sodium intake is the top risk factor for an unhealthy diet, and it is responsible for 1.8 million deaths each year," said Francesco Branca, director of the WHO's Department of Nutrition for Health and Development.
Eating too much salt is one of the causes of cardiovascular disease, which kills an estimated 17.9 million people each year, according to the WHO. It can also lead to strokes, which kill 5 million people each year globally - and other serious medical conditions.

Yummmmmmmm!
It’s the fructose and table sugar is 50% fructose. They are both bad for you. Worse is that they are nutritionally empty while jacking your insulin levels, seesawing your blood sugar and exhausting your pancreas. At least fruit has actual vitami s and minerals and other bioactive compounds that are useful to the body.
A shitload! First they want to take away our meat, dairy, poultry and fish and make us eat vegetables and bugs, and now no salt? Next they will be telling us serfs(Not the special classes) that we can't have any beer, wine or spirits to wash the crap they allow us down.
Here in the Philippines everything is highly salted. Ditto for China etc.
That is why high blood pressure and strokes are common.
Americans average 6 gm of salt a day, east Asians average 10.
If I have too little salt, due to my thyroid situation, I get high blood pressure.
It's a genetic thing.
Here is a solution. To quote the great Bob Newhart, “Stop it!”
To be implemented on an individual basis.
Ya ok right, the WHO/CDC are full of s$$t as always
The more salt one consumes, probably the most potassium one should consume. Fruits and potatoes have a lot of potassium.
Nevermind that it is an illegal treaty not signed off on by the Senate. I don't believe a word from WHO either, in fact I will not bow down to them or their useful idiots in the DC cabal. Lockdowns and Masks, NEVER AGAIN.
Sounds like the WEF has declared war on Salt.
So now anyone with a salt shaker in their house will be labeled as a domestic terrorist.
Hfcs is made from corn, real sugar come from sugar cane
But the Pfizer jab is A OK.
The low sodium industry won’t let go. It is all about the Benjamins.
The real cause of hypertension and a myriad of other diseases is sugar. Salt isn’t the problem and reducing salt is a solution for only a tiny fraction of the population. So why does the WHO want to regulate salt?
I say don’t regulate anything. People should learn for themselves how to eat properly and the information should be on the label. Every can of Coke should have a label that says in large letters: “The primary ingredient in this product is known to cause diabetes, cancer, heart disease, hypertension, depression, autoimmune disorders and other debilitating and deadly conditions. Consume at your own risk.”
LOTS!!!!
Nobody elected WHO to Lord over the World’s citizens. No treaties with WHO or any of the other Globalist entities they created to enslave mankind!
Oops, I forgot to put untested experimental gene therapy shots
sold as “vaccines” in my list
