Steve Bannon Going Off On The Oligarchs Trying To Stop President Trump
"Donald J. Trump is not simply a leader of a political party, he is not a politician, he is a leader of the most powerful political movement in American History!"

jimrob can run this forum however he pleases. I’m here at his leisure. My vote is mine alone. I will do with it as I see fit. That includes not casting it for eGOP scum. Trump or bust.
There it is, Peace and Prosperity.
Re: 21 - My guess is that there are more than a few voters who have made the same decision.
Good luck.
Trump was the CEO of the biggest company in the history of the world. And he did a damn good job running the company.
Trump is and has always been a populist politician.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He has always been a populist, and if the average voter ever manages to understand what that means in reference to political ideology all the political “Aristocrats” now schlepping around Washington are finally going to get the beating they so richly deserve.
He is bigger than politics, IMHO.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And that is exactly why he is so despised by the hack politicians of both major parties. He makes them all look foolish, and if the majority of the electorate ever manage to understand that, he’ll enter the history books as one of the greatest Presidents in American history!
That question is unclear. Win which of the two elections?
If you ask whether he can win the primary, he will have had to enjoy your vote. You state:
[If Trump] cannot win...DeSantis is the rational alternative.
Trump clearly holds the stronger credentials on the national and global political record. Note that DeSantis will be "our" alternative only in the primary but will be the alternative chosen in the general by the forces against Trump.
If you ask whether he can win the general election, the numbers strongly suggest he can. The Dems have no one on the bench that has a record anywhere near Trump's record (and they know it.)
He can certainly win both elections but, perhaps, only if he outplays the Dems, the Left, the RINO's, the MSM, every other anti-MAGA element and all their assets, to say nothing of the assistance of foreign nations.
That assortment would pay a very high price to keep Trump off the ballot. They effectively, albeit clumsily, corrupted the recent presidential elections; the next one could be just as easy.
Maybe you can answer this.
What can DeSantis bring to the national table, in ways that succeed where Trump could not?
Can he clean house with the deep staters?
Can he shut down Big Tech for colluding, censoring, manipulating data, news, etc?
Can he lower taxes and get people to want to go back to work, inspiring patriotism by pointing to his governing in Florida?
I don’t know how his governance of Florida will translate successfully to a national arena - without violent antifa protests, more BLM, rioting, constantly being embattled with the radical left - Trump actually bowed and caved in to particular ideas and pushback — will DeSantis do that? Will he work middle of the aisle like he does now, in his home state? etc etc.
It’s hard to envision what he would bring to the table that would be more successful than Trump.
Please advise!
“Does that sound like Trump to you?”
Yes.
IMO, that's just the starting point to putting this country back on a path to prosperity. It signals to the country a seriousness behind solving our problems.
If Trump wins the nomination, he gets my vote. His main foil right now is DeSantis, who seems to be weathering the storm.
There is no room for Greg Abbott. Had he started busing illegals to sanctuary cities several months earlier, he could have been a viable candidate. Unfortunately, he's too slow on the draw when it comes to taking action. Our next President has to be decisive in decision making, and "decisive" is not an adjective I use with the Texas governor.
“Does it hurt when one’s brain farts so voluminously?”
Tickles a bit.
Just curious, who is your favorite candidate for 2024 so far?
Heheh. Great response!
I'm losing track. Are we still calling Don skeptics like me TDS'ers?
Or does it now refer to the folks so in love with this carnival barker that they can't think straight - ala Sundance.?
No question.
Which sucks. Because you can't predict what he'll favor tomorrow.
MAGA is utterly meaningless.
America First is at least a bit clearer in a trade / foreign relations sense.
What we need is a principled Make the Republic Free Again candidate.
Can he clean house with the deep stators?
He made a good start with Disney. He's fighting the education establishment now.
Can he shut down Big Tech for colluding, censoring, manipulating data, news, etc?
Again, he appears to be doing that now.
Can he lower taxes and get people to want to go back to work, inspiring patriotism by pointing to his governing in Florida?
He already lowered taxes, employment in Florida's booming, and he has inspired many people to migrate to Florida.
No you're not. You're right where you want to be.
Are we still calling Don skeptics like me TDS'ers?
You're not a sleptic, you're a TDS sufferer. If I were to care enough I'm sure your postings make the case that you are a neverTrumper.
Or does it now refer to the folks so in love with this carnival barker that they can't think straight - ala Sundance.?
I didn't have to look too far back...neverTrumper.
It's early still, but...
On our side... DeSantis
On the enemy side... Kennedy
Then, either way, we'd have a prez in 24 who is very unlikely to Warp Speed us again.
The right thing to happen before then is a robust primary with hopefully more adult behavior and a promise by all to vote for the winning R.
I won't vote for The Don in the primary. But I will vote for him if he wins it. Folks who threaten to sit home if he loses the primary are selfish like him.
You always put great thought into your posts. I have an issue for you to consider.
Who will serve and will be able to be confirmed by the Senate in a DJT second administration?
Which sucks. Because you can’t predict what he’ll favor tomorrow.
MAGA is utterly meaningless.
