A couple of years ago, I ran across a thread on here regarding live tv streaming. One of the sites listed was ustvgo along with some others that I can't recall because I immediately went to the ustvgo site which it was terrific. It had it all plus it was free. Since I don't have TV, I had it on my PC everyday and had access to all cable and network stations.
In January it was taken down and the message left was 'sorry, we are closed'. After doing some research, it looks like some heavy weights got involved and probably threatened legal action so it disappeared.
I've been watching 123tv, while not as good as ustvgo, it still had network and some cable plus FOX news. Now, it too is gone as of yesterday.
Does anyone know of any other sites that they've used? The pay sites are almost as expensive as satellite now. They were affordable just 3 or 4 years ago but frankly, when paying, the money supports depravity and the lousy stations as well (i.e. MTV, pro sexual perversion stations etc). I currently do pay for Philo but it has none of the news or network channels.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
For (I think) $7, 10, or 12 a month you can get Frndly TV, which has some good offerings.
It depends on if you have a compatible service to watch it through.
Other than that.... sorry
.get a Roku TV. There are dozens of free streaming services and your local stations for news. You just have to have broadband.
https://localnow.com is an ad-supported streaming that offers regional news feeds. It is accessed through app and is on streaming devices, such as smart TVs and ROKU.
Depending on your location, you might be able to get broadcast stations over-the-air.
Thanks so much for your suggestion.
thanks so much!
I use an Amazon Firestick with Kodi 19.4.
No difference. Same thing, different names.
Thanks TomGuy. I appreciate it
ok great. Thanks.
You don’t have to get a full fledged TV - just a receiver for an antenna with an HDMI out to hook into the monitor then you can watch free over the air television - many of the subchannels some people believe are only available on cable and are paying for what should be free stations to them. No need for anything expensive - some of these are cheap unless you want fancy menus.
Also, too supplement this, a Roku box with HDMI out could also be hooked to a monitor - then you can load numerous apps that are completely free and legal - both streaming channels and on demand. Good examples of apps to load are Redbox, STIRR, Classic Reruns TV, Crackle, Roku Channel, Weather Nation, FreeVee, tubi, YouTube, Positiv TV, Pluto. Some of these may also be available straight from the web.
Note with YouTube it is *not* the paid YouTubeTV - just the regular app. You mentioned Fox News - just look up their official channel and they upload tons of full clips...you don’t need a streaming channel.
For Fox, Youtube.
Enter your search and the date.
Example: Hannity 3/3/24
Then filter by upload date.

Nothing. High Speed would s broadband.
You can pick up a 55 to 60 smart TV at Wal-Mart for.less than $500. You log it into you internet like a computer. You can also plug a computer into it as a huge m monitor.
Roku lets you search by topic, actor, title, or key words like “Free Streaming”
For entertainment try Plito, FreeTeeVee, Tubi, Filmrise and the Roku channel. Plus Rumble, and Youtube.
You can all so access pay services like Netfix, Apple TV, Hulu if you subscribe. You can also access major sports via their own streaming services.
There no need for cable, period.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LO7h1YIMv4 - here’s an example of the box I was talking about - that same channel also has reviews of good antennas. That, the antenna, and a Roku with the above mentioned apps should be all that you need - they have costs, but just one time costs, then no monthly bills.
For consideration - Pluto. It’s free and has lots of tv shows and movies with commercial. You can watch live tv or on demand content.
I usually wstch other streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon prime but will occasionally frequent Pluto for a dose of 60s and 70s shows or more recent.
A quick reminder that a good book serves life and being far better. NOTE: Not immune to TV enticements.
Consider Chromecast Google TV HD. Cast whatever you can get in your Smart Phone to your .TV
Some new Smart TV’s have Chromecast built in.
Your need wifi, Smart Phone, and a Smart TV. NO Cable contracts needed.
We have a ROKU, also Sling TV app. Sling is not free, but a lot cheaper than cable.
Antenna man is THE MAN! He knows TONS about antennas.
