OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said a man has been charged with felony battery after a woman told deputies he “touched her inappropriately,” according to a Facebook post from OCSO.
Erik Lucas, 50, also has a prior battery conviction in Okaloosa County from September 2022.
Deputies said a woman was running on Okaloosa Island near Princess Beach when Lucas “confronted her and touched her inappropriately.”
Deputies followed a set of footprints and found Lucas hiding in a bush wearing the same clothing described by the victim, according to the post.
The woman told deputies she was exercising on the beach at around 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 when Lucas asked for a picture. She declined and Lucas then “smacked her on the buttocks and ran away.”
Get his DNA in the database. Might solve some cold cases. Creep.
Local story here....................
We have a couple of unsolved murders on that beach....................
That’s a felony now? Must have been a really big butt.
Let’s just suppose, for the moment, that this fellow slapped your WIFE on the butt ... or slapped you DAUGHTER on the butt.
Just suppose ...
What, exactly, would you want to do to him?
Sometimes, you can’t get your hands around something really big. Maybe a slap was all he could manage.
Meanwhile, murders go unsolved across the USA.
More here, most notably, a photo of the guy.

Some things, one simply does not do. And when someone does them anyway, they are not to be tolerated at all.
Certain sorts of bad behavior need to be stopped when they’re seemingly minor; if they are ignored they will escalate into serious misconduct.
Let’s just suppose, for the moment, that your son who is otherwise a good kid in as some shortsighted prank slapped some random woman on the butt.
Just suppose ...
Would you agree he should have his life destroyed forever with a felony conviction that would make it impossible for him to get a job at 60 or if the father tracked him down and killed him would you throw up your hands and say ‘oh well, I love my son but I guess he deserved it’?
Its about proportionality not justifying an overreaction by only taking the pov of the aggrieved party.
In SC something like that is called unwanted touching.
Picked up from a mass HR lecture and details about someone it happened to. I think just a touch on a shoulder or something trivial like it.
we already don’t go after a ton of worse stuff. Lets take care of that first before we start simping for authoritarian feminists.
Would you like to answer the question?
I had a coworker bite me on my butt once at work. I promptly grabbed the coffee pot which was on the counter and poured it on him, left the room and went to my boss’ office, told him I was leaving for the day, and if he wanted to know why, that he should go ask the guy I was working with. Oh, yes, and there were several witnesses.
I went back to work the next day as scheduled, stopped by the boss’ office first. He said he had spoken to the coworker and the others who were there. He told me I was right about leaving, and assured me it would never happen again. When I got to my work place, I was greeted by the guy, who apologized to me in front of everyone, and asked if we could move on. I agreed but kept my distance from him for the rest of my time there.
That’s how you nip sexual harassment at the workplace in the bud. Never a problem again.
I like going to that beach. They need to solve that stuff fast.
That was certainly bad manners, and he deserves to be fined, even arrested for assault, but felony seems a bit severe.
A felony is permanent (I think) and you lose your right to vote.
So did/do you have a nice tuchas?
