Posted on 01/08/2023 5:50:22 PM PST by MtnClimber
Explanation: The hydrogen in your body, present in every molecule of water, came from the Big Bang. There are no other appreciable sources of hydrogen in the universe. The carbon in your body was made by nuclear fusion in the interior of stars, as was the oxygen. Much of the iron in your body was made during supernovas of stars that occurred long ago and far away. The gold in your jewelry was likely made from neutron stars during collisions that may have been visible as short-duration gamma-ray bursts or gravitational wave events. Elements like phosphorus and copper are present in our bodies in only small amounts but are essential to the functioning of all known life. The featured periodic table is color coded to indicate humanity's best guess as to the nuclear origin of all known elements. The sites of nuclear creation of some elements, such as copper, are not really well known and are continuing topics of observational and computational research.

So judging from my emmissions, I’m Big Bang meets exploding massive star meets dying low mass star, with maybe some exploding white dwarf thrown in.
“Gases are also what can make farts smell bad. Tiny amounts of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane combine with hydrogen sulfide (say: SUHL-fyde) and ammonia (say: uh-MOW-nyuh) in the large intestine to give gas its smell. Phew!”
We can make our own gaseous nebulae…
Big Bang is science?
Just disclose all the results of the experiment and show us where it was replicated.
Interesting periodic table, which I don’t understand.
Where’s the Gold I’ve been promised?
The big bang could never happen... It goes against the laws that govern our universe.
It doesn’t explain where the matter came from, the energy, what caused the spin, or even why it exploded.
Besides that, why do we see moons, planets, and even galaxies spinning in the opposite direction?
It’s all a lie...
Amazing what one can do with nothing.
6. Big Bang replicated by Kamala Harris in her political rise to power.
I thought all the heavier elements are formed in supernovas.
I see I wasted another few minutes of my life clicking into another APOD thread...
I found it fascinating.
There is enough FACTUAL information out there, and enough REAL photography of the cosmos to post 10 threads a DAY and have enough material for 10 years of posting. I for one dont waste my time on, "Humanity's Best Guesses"!!
So before the “big bang” there was ONLY a big pile of electrons, protons and neutrons that exploded and by some unnamed force merged together into those spinning things called atoms and became elements.
Only we don’t know where the pile came from. And we don’t have any idea of the source of energy which made the big pile explode. We don’t know what force compressed ALL the electrons, protons and neutrons in the Universe into one big pile. [Actually the pile was a little pile, they say, about the size of a pea even though there were no peas and no way of measuring the little pile and no one there to measure it.]
You say uh-MOW-nyuh,
I say uh-MOW-nyA!
I don't think this is Happy.
Has anyone ever explained how the "stuff" for the big bang got here?
