Horrible, horrible, horrible
Horrible, horrible, horrible
Wherever she was going wasn’t worth it.
Well, brandon is safe in St. Croix so there’s that.
Poor girl
I have a granddaughter that age
I would hate for something like that to happen to her …
Terrible. Her mom believes that she died of carbon monoxide poisoning after the snow covered up her car’s tail pipe, and then she froze over inside after it ran out of gas or otherwise shut off.
Well, I sure hope they find a Republican politician that they can blame for this. [/s]
BILL GATES’ WEATHER MODIFICATION/EXTORTION PATENT
https://www.eyeopeningtruth.com/tag/bill-gates-weather-modification-extortion-patent/
What we were told to keep in our car in 1968 while in the military in Alaska.
Two wool blankets
two cans of Sterno and matches
One empty coffee can for body waste
hard candy.
You were expected to be wearing your winter survival parka and boots.
I would add to this list several Plumbers candles as they have a burn time of close to 4-5 hours. One or two will keep a car interior well enough warm to survive. add some C rations.
I did the same back in the “world” upon getting discharged. A survival pack in my cars. Same for the wife.
No one will die if global warming increases temps by a degree or 2.
Heartbroken for this young woman and her family...
Please remember, the snow can block your tailpipe. Others have died the same way.
This is really a shame and did not need to occur. All little winter prep is all it takes. I have my old heavy winter coveralls, a shovel and salt in my vehicle all winter. Daddies should teach their daughters about blocked tail pipe and general survival.
“Taylor sent a final video to her family members from inside the car”
Should have swallowed her pride and called 911 instead.
What are the odds of carbon monoxide poisoning being a factor in the driver’s death?
Also, I was taught about dangerous weather.
Back in the mid - early 60’s
On a Fri night lark
We decided with nothing else to do
to drive east to Niagara falls
Got into NY state
Hit a storm cell
Barely could turn around
No car heater
Can of window defroster
Interstate 90 was closed for three days
Four of us had 20 dollars between us
Many states could and should have declared emergencies and shut down all but essential offices and businesses, based on what reliable weather reports said was heading their way, before the most severe temperatures and snowfalls occurred. Not only would millions have been safer, but emergency crews and infrastructure recovery crews would have been less taxed by needing to assist fewer rescues. As the snowfalls broke and temperatiures rose, then folks could resume activities outside the home in whatever, and whenver, safe conditions were available. States should not need for the worst cases play out before declaring winter emergencies and clearing essential roads of travellers. Travellers would be better holed up in motels the day and nite before the bad weather is going to hit, instead of “trying to make it through”.
If me daughter called me in such a situation, I would hope and pray to God I would have gotten to her or that they would have found my body along the way.
If I found myself so stranded, then I would hope to have reached out to other nearby stranded folk for help and to help.
In her video it looks like a van was less than 20 feet away with it’s lights and Hazards on.
Why she didn’t try to walk over to them is beyond me.
“The death toll was released in a statement by officials Monday, who announced that Taylor was one of three motorists found dead in a car, defiantly taking to the road despite a ban on personal road travel that remains in effect.”
Darwin Award.
