Some Sonoma County, California residents are concerned about mountain lions after one lion entered a house, attacked a dog, and dragged the dog by its neck into the backyard, KTLA sister station KRON reports.
The attack happened last week when a Bennett Valley resident left her sliding glass door open. The cougar targeted a border collie inside the house and the homeowners heard a commotion.
Video sent to KRON shows a snarling mountain lion standing over a motionless dog.
“A neighbor came over and fired a shot in the air,” neighbor Ron Crane said.
The dog was eventually rescued and survived.

Ironic the liberal had to call SOMEONE WITH A GUN to end her terror.
We have mountain lions here. Every couple months we get to see security cam vids of one trotting off with someone’s precious little cat or dog in their jaws.
fired a shot in the air
Was that an (Is that you joe) moment?
Is it me or does she sound like some liberal squish that couldn’t contemplate grabbing a AR, .357 lever action or a .1911 and defending her own?
I’m bet she voted for Pres Trump….both times.
We have mountain lions here too. And eastern coyotes which are hybrids with wolves. And we have bobcats. What we don’t have are lost cats or dogs. If yours is missing, it’s not lost, it’s being digested.
Good grief! 😮
In cali we have plenty of coyotes in the residential area. We have 2 standard poodles at the time 45 & 60 lbs. coyote took one look and went the other way. Size matters
I have found my little domestic cats with lizards, field mice, birds, and bugs in their mouths. Not to mention all the cows, chickens, pigs, turkeys, fish, shrimp, I pay to have killed and canned for my cats enjoyment.
Best way to keep coyotes, other dogs, bears, mountain lions away from previous pets is a secure house, escape routes, and grounds. Even then, ones precious pet wants to escape and a predator gets ‘um.
A similar call occurs in the Spring when moose come into town to bask in lawn and farm field sprinklers. Fish & game responds fairly quickly. The primary hazard has occurred when a moose goes walking across the 4 lane city streets. A couple have been hit by cars.
Another dishonest headline
I thought wells and mine shafts were the most common culprits.
I watched the show with kids. Lassie’s family had no screens in the windows, and cerainly no AC, so Lassie leaping through an open window to certain danger was a regular feature on the show.
The bit about Timmy in the well was an snl skit or something.
i sure didnt see any dragging... just standing there...
false advertising!!
You would think a mom who had traveled to outer space would get the importance of keeping windows closed.
In Ocala people get a year for driving on a suspended license.
He’s going in that’s for sure.
Kate’s cooking would be hard to beat. Didn’t she try to teach Lisa how to cook?
One of the funniest “I Love Lucy” episodes I ever saw was “Lucy Plays Cupid” with Bea Benaderet in the star supporting role as an old maid.
