I watched the show with kids. Lassie’s family had no screens in the windows, and cerainly no AC, so Lassie leaping through an open window to certain danger was a regular feature on the show.
The bit about Timmy in the well was an snl skit or something.
You would think a mom who had traveled to outer space would get the importance of keeping windows closed.
