Covid/vax slide:
My husband has a home health nurse come once a week and a physical therapist once a week.
The nurse that came today (one of two) is young, in her late 20’s or early 30’s. We were talking about vaccinations, and I told her that I was done with them, including the flu vax. I told her we refused the covid vax too. I explained that I’m not anti-vax and would take a life-saving vax like a Tetanus shot if needed, but I’m done with the annual vaxes.
She said that she would have refused both of them, but she would have lost her job and she went to nursing school for too long and was too young to lose her job, so she did it. She agreed with us that they (covid) vaxes especially, are dangerous. Her best friends husband took them and now he has heart issues that he didn’t have before. It’s so bad that he had to stop running in marathons. She’s not old enough to know Fauci but said she has heard terrible things about him, so I filled her in. She actually advised us not to take the covid vax since we are retired and said that as soon as she retires or changes jobs, she will never take another one. She’s praying that she doesn’t have any bad consequences to pay for doing it and she wishes she could be as open with people as she was with us.
It was refreshing to hear a medical professional admit to what we already knew. She admitted that doctors and nurses are being pressured by the government and the medical unions to take them and to try to force them on patients. She also admitted that they are in danger of losing their licenses if they don’t.

That wild man, Bannon, always uses top drawer stuff. He could lead a battalion over a cliff, or, make a climb out of a canyon sound like it was a sprint! Just a great story teller.
A lot of us grew up with men like Bannon. Everybody used to have a heartbeat. Having a pulse was normal. (sigh)
He’s doing better but we are coming to a cross in the road, I’m afraid.
The hematologist wants him to have a colonoscopy because his red blood count dropped some since being on the Eliquis. They want to make sure it’s not causing bleeding in his intestines.
He refused so we came home with a home test kit, that we did and mailed back yesterday. He said that if it shows any blood and they try to force him to have the colonoscopy, that he will refuse again and take the chance of them taking him off the blood thinner. He said he would rather die at home from clots than have a colonoscopy.
I told him that at 84 I figure he’s old enough to make that decision and I won’t try to force him. That’s not how I roll. I told my kids how I felt about the covid vax and when they decided to take them anyway, I didn’t say anymore. They are old enough to make their own medical decisions. I’m not going to cause a major family feud over their medical decisions, and I won’t over his either. My husband had me sign him up for the vax when they first came out even though he knew I didn’t like them and why. They called to make his appointment and he said to tell them he changed his mind and didn’t want the vax, so I told them. His body, his choice.

Doctors are now dreaded, worse than the leftist media.
Tell him that your friend meyer has had that procedure done twice. They put you under for the process. The worst part, by far, is the prep (cleaning out the system basically) and that isn’t as bad as it used to be.
But yeah, I understand the reluctance. And in the end (no pun intended), it’s his choice, as you said.
I dread my next visit. For two years, my doctor never mentioned my taking the covid vax or not. The last time I was there she was all over me about taking it and even said that people like me that won’t take it are the ones spreading the variants. She wanted to put me on meds for osteoporosis and cholesterol. I refused both. Something happened to her. I think the medical association got on her case.
After my vaxed daughter got covid, then long covid, she said, “it would have been much worse if I hadn’t been vaxed”. I just rolled my eyes at her and she said, “I don’t want to hear it”. LOL
The nurse that was here today said it’s all about the money. She said that they push dangerous drugs on people that have been doing fine without them.
Today was an education for sure!

This past summer after caring for her here for over a year and a half, my mom went to a really good nursing home nearby. We’ve refused both the covid and flu vaxes they offered. About a month ago the nurse called me and said my mom had tested positive for covid, but showed no symptoms other than some minor congestion. If she did get worse they would offer Remdesivir. I said, NO, I would prefer they offered her ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine. Nurse said she would try and get a script for the ivermectin if she worsened. Then she said, “I think all this stuff (she meant the covid panic, etc.) is a bunch of hooey.”
Mother came out of it just fine.
I had mine done when I was supposed to, in my 50’s. Nothing was found so when it came around again, I started on Cologuard. You can do it three times, three years apart. I’m due for my last one at 70 or 71.
The prep wasn’t the worst part for me. Not being allowed to eat for a day and a half was the worst part for me. I get really bad reflux and nausea if I am too empty for too long.
The actual procedure was a piece of cake.

I know we discussed Derek Johnson here a few weeks ago. In this most recent AWK video, LT included an image Derek Johnson sent to him. It’s a picture taken at Trump’s inauguration - Trump with the military behind him and and the cap braids worn on the covers of those men.
One cap braid was military intel, and the other was Judge Advocate General?
The point was that the military is gathering evidence and the JAG is presiding over tribunals. Also talks about the corporation vs. republic and the Commander in Chief role.
Then later during the section where he shows the different folks wearing the AWK t-shirts, hats, etc., the second image shows a lady wearing one of those shirts and Derek Johnson also in that picture looking at the camera.
Interesting, I thought.

I was training at a large hospital in Boston. The regular Instructor was out on a medical leave, recovering from surgery. We ended up with a girl (I know woman) who turned out to be absolutely fantastic. She had never done this sort of work before and somehow this prompted her to be very creative. She got us fantastic experiences.
The team (of 4 usually) I was on was different for each rotation. Four weeks together and then we were mixed and sent off to a different hospital. It was actually a terrific system. One day, this team, we all got to the hospital early, around 7 a.m. we were told that a Med Flight was coming in. We went to the area where the Hyperbaric Chambers were maintained. Having never seen 1 before, I had a completely different perception of what they really looked like.
It was akin to a Science Fiction movie, where the Astronauts lay in these cylinders with very thick transparent acrylic tops. Their entire bodies were visible from outside. There were three of them. The wall in the room was full of VHS tapes, dozens maybe hundreds of movies. Most Patients are not intubated or ventilated, but those who are receive very high priority.
These were very powerful looking devices. They had specially designed ventilators attached to them. I believe they were pneumatic vents and there was no electricity involved. The only mode available was Pressure, the Oxygen percentage is always 100% in a pneumatic vent, or in a chamber of this sort. Volume Control was not there. (These sort of vents are used in MRIs and so we are familiar with them.) No electrical devices are permitted near the Hyperbaric Chambers.
Well, the descriptions of these things are not the point here, perhaps later. The Patient arrived shortly after we got there. I saw immediately that it was a woman, not possibly older than mid 30s, likely younger. It was simple to discern her youth because she was in very nice shape, despite being covered with a Johnnie and blankets. Her hair was seriously singed. She was unconscious and ventilated. One of the admitting procedural questions was to confirm that the eardrums had been surgically perforated. That takes under a minute to get done.
There had been a fire and her place was almost destroyed. She was clearly suffering from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. She was placed on a hospital vent transferred from the ambulance helicopter device, somewhat stabilized. Now a person can have a 100% Saturation despite CO or CO2 poison. The Hemoglobin in the blood has an affinity for O2, but it likes CO2 more and it absolutely loves the Carbon Monoxide. This is partly why the high pressure (> atmosphere) is used to get that crap out of the circulation. It can take a while.
We stayed in that room for hours. The regular Workers cannot leave. Every day the cafeteria sends them up a pot of coffee, teas, and a giant platter of breakfast things including pastries. They eat well. They get free lunch as well.
Anyhow, a Patient can only receive so many hours of the therapy at a time. This woman probably required a lot. I never saw her again and I have no idea whatever resulted.
I was intrigued by her case. When I got home I perused News Reports. She was clearly from some distance away. Well I found the story. There was a storm and a bolt of lightning struck a utility pole, and some electrical discharge literally traveled into an apartment building. It went up to a 2nd floor and a fire traveled into her apartment. It was a 16 unit building. Her apartment was the only one damaged. There were no other people injured.
It was like reading a bad movie script, only I saw her. I spent hours near her. I never knew her name. I suspect that she may have been brain dead, or even her entire body just expired. I really do not know. I would be uncomfortable knowing, even still, decades following.
It is one of those things where you do have to acknowledge that One’s time could end in the wink of an eye. It was simply a remarkable thing altogether. There is a lot more to the high pressure Oxygen therapy stuff, but this one story I recall vividly probably because it was my first.
I haven’t really done much pingifying but I have plans....

I’m so happy your mother came out of it fine and that she refused the vax. Mine didn’t. She took her first vax and had a small stroke. After the second vax she had a bigger stroke and was dead in two weeks. I didn’t want her to take the vax, but she said, “I don’t want to get sick”. Mom was a hypochondriac and feared everything. She trusted doctors as though they were gods. I have been even more adamant about not taking the vax since then. This was when covid first started and was worse than the variants. I wish mine has listened.
Good on you and your mom for refusing. Making your own determinations about her care is what saved her life.
More doctors need to start prescribing IVM and other alternatives that have been proven to work.

Thanks! 😊 I’m fiercely independent and treat others the same way. I don’t like being told what to do or think and I don’t do it to others. I say my piece and then I’m at peace with what they decide. As long as they know how I feel, I’m good with it.
When my daughter asked me the first time what I thought about the shots, I told her and sent her all of the info I had at the time. The rest was up to her. She’s 48 and well old enough to decide.
