Ayear after moving to Bridge City, Texas, 8-year-old Samuel Kulovitz thought his life couldn’t get any worse. He had made no friends in the swampy oil refinery town and spent most of his time in his family’s mobile home. He missed Florida and playing on the beach there with other children.
But life did get worse. He hit puberty. For Kulovitz, who was assigned female at birth, “growing into being a young woman horrified me,” he said. “I kept crying and crying, and I didn’t know why I didn’t like it.”
Then, at age 11, Kulovitz started venturing onto social media. There, he came across a cosplayer on Tumblr who said he realized he was a transgender boy from the euphoria he felt while dressed as the hero of an online comic. Kulovitz was transfixed. “I kept asking myself, ‘Why do you want to look like him?’” he told Reuters. In the online community where Kulovitz spent more and more time, he adopted the pronouns “he” and “him,” and he liked it.
When his mother learned of his transgender identity, she was supportive and enrolled him in therapy. He was diagnosed at age 12 with gender dysphoria, the distress that comes from identifying as a gender different from the one assigned at birth.
Two and a half years later, Kulovitz started on the hormone testosterone. He was thrilled as he grew facial and chest hair, his voice dropped, and his menstrual periods stopped.
Still, his breasts were a constant source of distress, and his body ached from wearing a chest binder. “I always thought, ‘I wish I could get rid of them,’ ” Kulovitz said.

Other than the fad and grooming aspect of all this nonsense, I have always held the belief that this garbage is happening with these fools because of perceived rejection by the opposite sex which leads to little to no self-esteem. They then take the easy way out, which they eventually find is not so easy and regret it.
I apologize for sending this long post, but what you wrote got me started thinking through the topic, and it was hard to stop. Probably not worth reading.
The sex/gender thing has creeped even into the animal rescue world, where we have to “sex” the new arrivals, then track and house them accordingly. I’ve noticed that a female volunteer sets up speadsheets of animal data with the heading “gender” instead of “sex”. At first I found this amusing, as an example of how language and ideas cross-contaminate. But animals expose the falsity of the modern “gender” construct.
Like humans, cats and dogs are physically one sex or the other. They can be spayed or neutered, but their DNA doesn’t change. They have no sense of self, and certainly no “gender” in the way the leftist nutters define it. Male and female critters have distinctly different behavior patterns that derive from individual and species survival strategies. No one teaches them this, or imposes it on them via culture, colonialism, or patriarchy. Humans often
project fantasies onto animals, but that does not change what the animals are themselves.
Humans do have a sense of self, and that is precisely where “gender” is found. Human self-perception is maleable, subjective, inaccurate, both conscious and subconscious, and heavily influenced by language, culture, emotion, hormones, peer pressure/group dynamics, and the projections of others. The Leftists’ conceit is to confuse the subjective nature of “gender” with physical reality, with tragic results.
The current wave of gender disphoria is a matter of culturally created psychosis, usually started by mothers with an agenda, then reinforced by social media. How anyone can treat this as anything but a psychiatric problem is beyond me.
I remember when i wanted to be a woman, though , it probably had to do with the fact that my neighbor was molesting me when i was 3-4 years old.(not his fault, he always told me his dad said it was okay) I can see more girls wanting to be male instead,, take a look at all the cult magazines and marketing using the female,, that is daunting, even scary,, i just hope what they have run away from because something looks/feels easier hasn’t run them into something that will make matters so much more worse later on in their life (20+% commit suicide). And they even reassure our poor children that they are being brave from running from something they are afraid of,, so sad. IMO, Drugs and surgery don’t fix these mental issues, psycho therapy does.

That's because the individual you pictured has "detransitioned" back to her natural sex, female. Sadly, she had her breasts removed as a young teen due to this money-making scheme of therapists and surgeons.

This whole trans thing is doing nothing more than reinforcing gender stereotypes.
For all the screeching a few years ago about gender stereotypes and raising kids to be gender neutral, now it’s gone full bore on making gender dependent on external criteria, such as interests.
A girl who likes “boy” things like sports and hunting? She must be a boy inside.
A boy who likes to cook and play with dolls, he must be a girl inside.
