A freshman football player, who had no prior issues, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapses during practice on Wednesday at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia.
Head athletic trainer Jack Holland said the freshman, who was not named by the school in accordance with HIPAA regulations, was unable to breathe on his own for 38 minutes and was shocked three times by an automatic external defibrillator (AED) in an effort to revive him, Savannah Now reported.
According to Benedictine’s head coach, Danny Britt, the athlete is in the intensive care unit of a local hospital and has begun responding to voice commands. Doctors said his brain and all his organs seemed to be fine.
Benedictine trainers Brian Tuten and Ed Livingston performed CPR until an ambulance arrived and used the AED machine. Their quick reactions were critical, both Holland and Britt said.
“They were right there immediately, thank God, to do their work, and they legitimately saved his life,” Britt said. “They did CPR until the EMTs got there and kept him alive.”
Britt said the player was on the sideline during a break in practice when he went down. Teammates called for the trainers right away — and everything seemed to stop, except for the work that Tuten and Livingston did.
“Everything just stopped, but Brian and Ed were so professional — they did an amazing job,” said Britt, who rode in the ambulance with the player to the hospital.
“The kids were obviously shaken. We cleared the way for the ambulance to get on the field and then got the rest of the team in the locker room,” Britt said. “The doctors said his brain and all his organs seem to be fine, and we have to thank Brian (Tuten) and Ed (Livingston) for that.”
“He never had any prior issues with anything like this,” Holland said Thursday. “It came completely out of the blue, and we have no clue what caused it. We were following the ambulance to the hospital and thought this whole thing could have turned another way. He’s not out of the woods yet, but he’s much more stable today.
Wonder what happened? /sar
These young men are the targets of the heart problems from the “vaccinations” yet, are the least likely to contact the virus. And if the healthy young men do get Covid, very few have any problems with it.
Daily, GP scours the world for sudden heart trouble to report, waiting for commenters to blame the vaccine before there has been any medical report of the victim. As if nobody ever died unexpectedly before COVID.
Ae you familiar with Karen Kingston? She is doing research in that arena and has come up with some troubling data.
Now she wants to speak to the manager.
😆
Safe and effective.
Unfortunately, it is not taking nearly as long to scour. These are only the famous ones who are dying.
Have you got your 5th booster yet?
An unsolved crisis: Heart-related deaths in high school athletes still a mystery
On Sept. 22, Williams collapsed on the football field about six minutes into practice. He showed no signs of fatigue or strain; his heart and breathing just stopped. The team’s athletic trainer performed CPR and he was rushed to the hospital, where they finally got his heartbeat going again.
High School Football Player Dies; Sixth Athlete Death This Summer
https://abcnews.go.com/Health/high-school-football-player-dies-sixth-athlete-death/story?id=14442856
I just returned from a road trip to my hometown where I visited the cemetery my grandparents are buried at. It shook me to the core. At least 13 fresh graves in this small country graveyard. Four cars arrived while I was there with people mourning. The decorations are heart breaking. I then stopped at various cemeteries on my way home and saw the same. I can’t stop crying. It’s hard to wrap my head around the ramifications this is going to have on society - transportation, food production, communications, finance, childcare, etc.
The National Athletic Trainers’ Association found that sudden cardiac deaths was the most common condition to kill a youth athlete in middle school or a youth or recreation league. The vast majority were boys at an average age of 13 and two-thirds took place at practice, not in a game.
There were 45 deaths over the nine-year period NATA studied. Sixteen of them were on the basketball court (35.6%), seven apiece while playing baseball or football (15.6%) and six occurred while playing soccer (13.4%).

GO TO GRAVEYARD AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. LOOK AT THE HEADSTONES. LOOK AT ALL THE FRESH GRAVES WITHOUT A HEADSTONE YET.
Quality chest compressions and early defibrillation are the best practice for improving outcomes in cases of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
How come we haven’t seen nfl players dropping like flies? Do you think they all got the saline solution/placebo in order to spare the industry. Because the people need the bread and circuses to keep them entertained while the d33p state is quietly killing the world.
Do you think the mid 70s heat wave in Savanna Georgia were too much for this young football player?
And by those who always follow the science. These young people suddenly dying and getting heart conditions since 2021 in epidemic numbers is clearly normal, they have been doing this for centuries, oh wait they haven’t been dying like this in these numbers.
Something must have changed in 2021, what could it have been? Joe Biden being president, well that is enough to cause a heart attack in sane people but... Could it be inflation, the brief appearance of the McRib on the McDonalds menu?
I wonder what changed in 2021? We know, the follow the science cult knows but they dare not say it and go against their cults rigid dogma. Denial is fine but people who think and use common sense know the truth and the cause.
College Vax policy- For California
I had to check.... I have a HS Junior.
Community College - Good News ....
Therefore, beginning Monday, October 3, 2022, I am suspending the State Center Community College District Vaccine Policy. Thus, SCCCD will suspend the testing requirement for unvaccinated employees and students. -
State College — Bad News ....
The California State University system’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement remains unchanged and is in effect for fall 2022. All students, faculty and staff are required to have a COVID-19 vaccination and booster when eligible on file in order to access campus facilities and programs, and participate in any campus-sponsored in-person activities on or off-campus. As previously announced, the CSU’s COVID-19 vaccination policy allows students and employees to seek exemptions on medical and religious grounds. Those who have attested to a medical or religious exemption (including those who are booster eligible, but not yet boosted) are required to test weekly at the COVID-19 Testing Center.
I recommend 2 years of Community College anyway.
Save money, and get good grades, then transfer in.
Hopefully the requirement will be gone in time for your child.
Yep and the Community College is pretty good here, probably less woke too. Disabled Vets kids get Free Community and State University Tuition as long as they are a Dependent, one of the very very few good things about California.
That’s good, especially helping the Vets.
The USAF helped my get my act together.
After my enlistment, I used the post 9/11 GI Bill to go to school.
Community College, then University of Florida. (I was a FL resident then)
