We would be hard pressed getting many America hating progressives in the blue states to cooperate with a draft even if the war, unlike the neo con wars, was in direct defense of the US. From a psychological standpoint, I would have a hard time reconciling that I am fighting a defensive war for the freedoms of progressive slackers in blue states who decided to vacation in Canada while it was being fought

Two of my sons are too old for the draft, and the third one who is still of a draftable age has a medical condition that would disqualify him.

If we had a Curtis LeMay or George Patton running our military, I would bring back the draft and task the drill instructions to kick major ass of the young punks.
I am of the opinion that the draft should first focus on those who received college loans / grants that are unemployed, Non STEM degrees and behind in their repayments.
