Anne Heche’s oldest son has reportedly revealed what he believes is the value of the late actress’s estate.
According to Homer Laffooon, Heche allegedly died with approximately $400,000 to her name, per court documents obtained Tuesday by the Daily Mail. Laffoon reportedly said in his filing that his “best estimate on the value of all [Heche’s] personal property is $400,000.”
Laffoon, 20, also reportedly revealed that his mother lived in an apartment and did not own a home, alleging in the paperwork that she “did not have any interest in real property at the time of her death.”

Whatever her failings were, whether she was likable or not, confused, or a good actress, she did bring life to these three humans. She did not abort them. In Hollywood, and in today's climate, that amounts to a whole lot.. It is almost heroic.
May she rest in peace, hopefully in Jesus's loving arms.
Maybe the woman, whose home was destroyed by Heche, can sue her estate. …for $400K, each year, until she’s paid back, to rebuild.
“ Millions must have gone up her nose or in her veins”
From her nose into her veins.
The article is unclear on that. First is says, "Laffoon also reportedly expects to receive another $400,000 annually from royalties and residuals." Then it says, “the probable value of the annual income from all the estate’s property is approximately $400,000.” Those are not the same thing. $400,000 could be the present value of the projected income stream, which could be only a few thousand dollars a month depending on how many years they expect the income to come in (e.g., $4,000 to $5,000 per month for the next ten years would have a present value of approx. $400,000, depending on the interest rate used).
Since the royalty income is from a memoir that she wrote but that has not yet been published, any number they used is probably an optimistic guess.
The people I know out there are all probably $400k/year and north. Cost of living is insane. SF proper for a couple, one right across the bay, one in Redwood City, another in Palo Alto or nearby.
Which apparently includes the boyfriend who is trying to claim that an email gave him control over her estate.
I wonder what her kids' relationship was with their bio-dad. Ordinarily, the father would be appointed as the guardian for his minor children, but the 20-year-old is asking that he be appointed guardian of his younger siblings.
She was at my daughter’s house last Feb. Her younger son Atlas is a friend of my granddaughter. My daughter said she was very nice but a little kooky. My daughter also spent some time with Atlas’s father who claimed she was a head case. I hope he takes custody of Atlas as he’s only 13.
Homer Laffoon? Poor kid, with a name like that.

I was just going to comment on that poor kids name.
You can do okay, and not be a big star.. tv commercial actors abs whatnot can build up a decent career over time and residuals but yes the big stars are very very rare. Most like all arts toil in virtual obscurity and the ones making the big bucks are often far from the most capable and talented.
Probably explains their tilt left, hard to accept meritocracy as a concept when your daily life sees little of it
Smart, I suspect an attempt to evade the awful inheritance tax.......
Hopefully he does get custody.
Mental illness is a sad, long process.
Some people can’t/won’t be helped.
I would rather think a savy estate/tax attorney..........
Wealth and fame does not bring happiness. Her life with Ellen was likely a dumpster fire.
No will? The govt will take everything.
Take the money and move to Wyoming. Get a nice house for far less than $400k and live comfortably on The residuals.
It is not that surprising. She was 53 and was essentially a working actress and not much of a star. She did a lot of TV.
Some people are good with managing money and others are not and she certainly was not poor compared to many Americans.
I could get that much selling my 3 bedroom house here.
You bet that will get you blacklisted in Hollywood
When my daughter was living in SF in 2009 she was paying $1150 a month for a 400-450 sq ft apt (tiny kitchen next to front door, bathroom and bedroom. It was about 4 steps from the kitchen to the bedroom with the bathroom in between) in a house converted to 4 apts.
When she moved here to KY in 2010 she said “I am earning 1/3 of what I was in CA and have more disposable income”.
