Two small children in Tennessee are dead after being mauled to death by the family's two pit bulls, according to police.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, two pit bulls viciously attacked a 2-year-old girl, a 5-month-old boy, and their mother inside their home in Millington, Tennessee, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
The toddler and the baby were pronounced dead at the home near Memphis.
The family's dogs also attacked the children's mother. She was rushed to Regional One in critical condition by Shelby County Fire paramedics. As of Thursday afternoon, the mother was upgraded to stable condition, according to detectives.
"The two pit bulls responsible for the attack were euthanized this afternoon by Memphis Animal Services," the Shelby County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Should be Exterminated...................
But it’s a Dog of Peace.
Last article wasn’t clear that it was their own pit bulls.
Well, the parents paid a high price to learn the truth about their pets.
Sad,but my pitbull would never do that... From everyone that I’ve met who has one. Yet all the dogs shelters are full of them, for some strange reason.
They would be extinct if not desired as pets by people with reprobate minds!
PB’s are the ‘Dog of Choice’ for a certain segment of society.....................
They all seem to have that “spooky” look they give you. I regard every one as a potential killer.
The dog of Hades.
It's because I'm black, isn't it?
Yes! Love that tagline.
Puppers of Peace alert.
Our new neighbors have one. It's incredibly overweight, slow and lazy, but I still don't trust it. And they let it out without a leash, which is against the law in the city. SO glad we're moving back to the country soon...

Yep. About a year ago I’m walking into a pet store and some guy was walking out with a pit bull on a leash. As we passed each other, the dog gave me the look. It’s chilling.
If that dog decided at that moment to attack me, no way could I get to any defensive tools I might have had on me. As others have noted, the breed is just too damn dangerous. It must be brought to extinction, much as a dangerous disease would.
My daughter and her family were astounded because their dog had never acted like that before. It's genetic.
As the say with hand grenades, "When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not your friend".
A few years ago a little boy here in TN was attacked by the family pit bulls and lost his arm ...
The parents were angrier at their poor wee boy than the vicious dogs ...
When will people learn ???
Yours hasn’t done that yet.....
