Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is taking flak from Christians who are offended by his multi-state billboard campaign that promotes abortion by quoting Jesus.
Last week, Newsom took to Twitter to tout the billboards his gubernatorial campaign is erecting in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and four other “anti-freedom” states where abortion is restricted or outlawed.
Some versions of the billboards, all of which urge women in such states to come to California to get abortions, advertise the state’s easily obtainable abortions by quoting Mark 12:31, where Jesus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.”
Newsom tagged several GOP governors in his Twitter thread, including Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. The billboards are also going up Indiana, South Carolina and South Dakota. […]
“This is satanic,” tweeted Ryan Hilderbrand, a Roman Catholic priest from Indiana.
“Imagining the devil in his advertising office at the top of the highest skyscraper in hell giggling to himself as [Newsom] uses Jesus’ own words to support killing babies,” said Catholic Answers, a Catholic media ministry that went on in a nine-tweet thread to excoriate the Democrat governor for having “twisted” the words of the Bible. …

In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Matthew and Mark both quote Jesus the same way when He asks “Who was neighbor to the Samaritan?”
The question answers the apostles’ question.
Your neighbor in this parable is the one who needs you.
No one needs you more than that helpless unborn baby. So
“love your neighbor as yourself” is totally reversed by this heartless killer of the unborn.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade has been a boon to many Democrats. In my home state of Michigan, Gov Whitmer is increasing her lead in the polls while her Republican challenger Todur Dixon gets hammered by ads highlighting her stated opposition to abortion even in cases of rape, incest or to protect the life of the mother.
Obama used to do that. Misusing the Bible for cheap political points. Remember “my brothers keeper” to try to shame Republicans?
Wicked losers never get the mileage they expect from misusing Scripture, but waiting to see them get their comeuppance is usually not a good idea.
Only a deranged DemocRAT would interpret Mark 12:31 as being pro abortion.

If i were to plan in advance to kill newsome, and carried it out, i would be charged with 1st degree murder. In most places in this world that would set me up to be executed. Why should it be any different for an unborn baby?
Gavin Newsom, you do greatly error. The first and greatest commandant is thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul and mind. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, on these hang all the laws and prophets.

And as asked, "who is my neighbour?" (Luke 10:29) If a despised Samaritan considered a beaten, half dead Jewish victim of robbery his neighbor, how can an innocent child not be, rather than being murdered?

Newsom and his enablers are heading directly for the place where the setting on the thermostat is always “Deep Fat Fry”.
