The TWA 800 Whistleblower Is Legit
American Thinker ^ | 08/08/2022 | Jack Cashill

In the past few weeks, I have received numerous inquiries about ten-year Navy veteran William Henry Teele III. After years of quietly providing information to me and other investigators into the July 1996 destruction of TWA Flight 800 off the coast of Long Island, Teele has gone public and is naming names.

I shared some of Teele’s information in my 2016 book, TWA 800: The Crash, The Cover-Up, The Conspiracy. Teele did not claim to be on the ship that fired the missile. He was on the USS Carr, a guided missile frigate that was one of the “combatants” in the battle group that destroyed the unfortunate 747 and killed the 230 souls on board. Everything that I could verify about Teele’s account back then checked out.

In the six years since, Teele has reached out to many of his fellow sailors and fleshed out his account. Although he has appeared on several podcasts in recent weeks, his uninterrupted narrative on the Duke Report is the most compelling. I would welcome those with relevant experience to contact me through my website, cashill.com, to offer your assessment of Teele’s account or to provide additional information. My research suggests Teele is the real deal but I remain open, as all journalists should, to contrary information.

In the way of background, Teele joined the Navy in 1994. In 1996, according to his Navy transcript, he was serving as a “seaman apprentice” receiving advanced training in “specialized Navy occupations.” Teele’s training went well enough that in 1998 he was made an “operations specialist,” one who, “operates radar and associated equipment; identifies and maintains a display (plot) of the movement of ships, aircraft, missiles, and natural objects detected by observing a radar.” In 1999, he was made an instructor...

>>destruction of evidence of a missile strike

Millions of people witnessed the destruction of evidence when watching the news broadcast of the aircraft recovery on TV.

*As each part of the aircraft was brought to the surface of the ocean, it was blasted with sea water…throughly before lifting into a recovery ship.

This goes against protocols to preserve evidence for crash investigation.

A example for preservation of evidence was the recovery of the V-22 that crashed into the Potomac river.

I got to walk up the recovered fuselage at Bell Plant 8 in Hurst (Texas y’all). All river mud was left in place as it was lifted out of the river for transport to Bell Helicopter. The mud in place could contain broke parts that may had led to the failure of the craft. All was sifted through at Plant 8.

I was trying to think if there was ever a government cover-up (concerning loss of life) that was finally publicly admitted at some point after the fact.

I cannot come up with one—maybe some Freepers can.

The closest I can find is a case where the .gov admitted culpability many decades after the fact (though there is no proof it caused loss of life, just loss of livelihood and property). They did not voluntarily do so until they were “caught red-handed” by academic researchers—and there were no whistleblowers:

The consensus is generally that it was NOT caused by exploding vapors in the center fuel tank and was downed by a missile. Terrorist or accident is the debate.

What I’ve always thought about is what the passengers and cockpit crew endured after the fuselage separated. They were not high enough to be rendered unconscious by altitude, and it took a while for everything to fall in the ocean. And it was on fire in the meantime.

The few lucky ones were those in the path of the missile body, who were just fine one moment and pink mist the next.

I was digging in some old threads on another site and the only “oddball” thing I found (not mentioned in this thread so far) was an orange “target” found in the debris.

It was suggested that this was evidence of some test firing of missiles in the area.

There are some good arguments in favor of and against either the terrorist or accident theory.

I could be convinced either way.

However, many Freepers are not persuasive when they argue that the Navy cannot cover up what they want to when they want to....whatever happened.

In fact even if it was a terrorist attack the Navy was involved in a coverup since they would have (at a minimum) instrument readings available to them. Some sources also claimed that Navy Seals were secretly involved in the recovery effort after the crash.

USS Vincennes downed Iran Air 655 on 3 Jul 1988, six years before TWA 800 went down.

In time of war the most morale-lowering question that can be asked is,
“What are they hiding from us now?”

Yes they did. I was watching CNN that night and they showed the missile strike twice, then it went down the memory hole. It’s not like now with the “way back machine”. I’ll go to my grave knowing it was a missile strike.

I knew it was a terror attack from jump. I had a friend that worked at the NY fed in the gold vault at the time of the first bombing (the fed was very close to the Trade Center parking garage). He was also Air Force intelligence. He swore up and down the truck bomb came very close to bringing the buildings down. So when the first plane hit that was on my mind.

Let’s assume it was Iranians and not the US Navy - wouldn’t the US Navy have detected the Iranians and their missile?

Asking because we’d have to believe:
A) they didn’t detect the threat, even though operating in the area on training exercises - OR -
B) they did and were ordered to hush it up.

If B, we’re back to a coverup involving multiple crews being silenced. If A, nothing sinister, just incompetence, or the Iranians got REALLY lucky not being detected?

Keep in mind the one piece of “evidence” supporting terrorists was the slip by that Clinton admin senior official (Panetta) letting “TWA 800” slip out when listing terror attacks.

My guess is that they did detect it, but couldn't be sure if it came from one of their ships or not. Each ship may have thought the other one did it and it was an "oh sh*t!" moment for all of them.

I can see each ship being told to shut up about it initially, and the fact that none of them fired it was probably established fairly quickly.

The thought occurs to me that the perpetrators probably informed the family, and the family probably informed the Iranian government, which immediately informed Washington that they had nothing to do with it and it was rogue elements which had perpetrated it.

I don't know how the US authorities could have acted so quickly to quash everything without someone telling them what was up in time for them to quash everything.

I do know my friend had some strangely interesting specifics about what was told to me.

I also was unsure, but when I saw that second plane hit live, I said, “We are at war.”

Still not sure who the real war is with.
