Have been looking into massage chairs. Anyone able to answer some questions please?
1. What are some good ones and ones to avoid?
2. Does a good chair help with sciatic nerve pain?
3. Why do people sell them if they are so good?
4. Private message me if you know of a good one available in Houston/SA/Austin areas.
5. Any other input on the subject?
Thanks in advance.
My massage chair keeps me going.
I would rather go forever without coffee and beer and chocolate than to relinquish my Electric Chair. :-)
Be sure to get one that’s the right size and massage strength for you.
In a few minutes I’ll post the company where we found excellent customer service when we were shopping for ours. Hubby has it filed away somewhere and he’s not available at the moment.
Our salesman recommended one which was less expensive than the one we had found through our own research.
The chair I have is a Daiwa Supreme Hybrid Massage Lounger. If the house catches on fire look for me trying to get it into the yard. ;-)
I was also glad that it comes in brown. It comes in black, too, but brown looks better in my house. However, I would have gotten any color in order to get the best and most reasonably priced chair to fit me.
My chair fits a range of short to medium heights and wouldn’t be best for an extremely tall person or extremely large person.
My Daiwa chair can give a very deep massage. I use the strongest setting but I have friends who’ve tried it on the lightest setting and found it to be too strong. (When the salesman asked how strong on a scale of 1-10 I like my massages I told him 20. Yes, I’ve had a stressful life. Lol!)
I have always had severe issues with muscle tension including sciatica and deep tissue massage kept me going but it’s so expensive that the Chair will start saving us money in about a year.
I’ll probably have deep tissue massages periodically because the chair comes into contact with only back and side muscles, but it’s still very effective. The way it directly affects the front muscles is by stretching you and the stretching has worked well for me.
Good luck!
that looks wonderful!
One other thing about using a massage chair on a strong setting:
Don’t overdo it!
Lol!
When I first got mine I overdid it because I had been in pain and it felt so good. Well, because so many toxins were released I felt terrible for a few days.
Massage therapy (at least my massage therapy experience!) involves one therapist working on area at a time. Using a chair for an hour is like having about a dozen therapists working at once, therefore twelve or so times more toxins released than a regular one hour deep tissue massage.
I learned to be careful and, as with massage therapy, drink lots of water before and for a couple of days after and also limit alcohol during that time.
Oh my gosh.
It is an answer to prayer for me.
I react to stress physically and practically need a jackhammer to loosen knots! Lol!
When using the Chair I have to set an alarm so that I don’t sleep for hours because it puts me to sleep almost every time, and I don’t fall asleep easily or sleep very much.
And no need for a book. I just float away... better than Calgon. ;-)
The best massage chair I’ve been was at the Red Rose bar in south Austin some years ago.
Not sure it or the Yellow rose bar are still open.
Have you used Relief Factor?
I’ve been curious about it, but I’m really suspicious of things requiring auto-ship, which I assume RF does.
Yes. My wife and I both use it. We had cobbled together about 3/4 of the formula from other supplements, but whatever we were missing was the key. My mild arthritis in my left hand is all gone now after only a month of use. Also my eczema is all gone. You will want autoship, and we have shortened the frequency so we build up a reserve against shortage.
Thanks. I’ve noticed that it contains fish oil. Can you tell me how big the capsules are? I have a problem swallowing most fish oil pills, they’re all so big.
