The Left won’t really understand this but they will “follow the science” and decide that Reality doesn’t exist, which is to say that you have your Truth and they have their Truth and both are equal except you lose because you’re racist. Science says so.

You looked at Free Republic in order to post this.
Therefore Free Republic now exists.

And you no doubt read or posted on many various issues on Free Republic.
Those issues now exist.

It’s all your fault!

It’s like eating from the tree of knowledge in the garden. Now we all exist and we have all these issues because you just had to look. Thanks a lot!!

So Plato was a quantum physicist.

This is really just the same thing philosophers have been suggesting for millennia.

Perception is reality.

To use their example, that the moon doesn’t exist until you see it, and measure it, well, all the atom, and subatomic particles, and those things we define as mass and energy, between the moon and the space around the moon is no different... until you start to define differences, like density of matter, or start to sense the energy, or start to quantify mass. Otherwise, all existence is just existence, the differences in all the properties are only significant when someone comes along and perceives them, or measures them.

Until someone comes along and decides for themselves where the moon stops and everything besides the moon starts, it’s all just whatever it is; Nothing, everything, anything.

“...wriggles vertically, horizontally, or both ways at the same time.”

That’s my “gotta go to the bathroom this minute” dance, so it actually exists.

All quantum physics proves is that we are living in a computer simulation program. Which does not contradict the Bible as far as I can see.

Materialists have it backwards. Matter did not create life.

“The Moon isn’t necessarily there if you don’t look at it.”

So the moon doesn’t exist for blind people on a beach so they don’t have to worry about tides.

So... have they disproven the notion of the university expanding infinitely in n number of “probability” dimensions, or only that Bob and Alice have learned how to navigate probability?

Bishop Berkeley made this observation about 300 years ago. These guys are late.

The Latin motto for Berkeley, “Esse est percipi.” (To be is to be perceived.)

... I mean, this is the ultimate important question for physics. If every possible outcome of every possible quantum event exists, then the anthropomorphic fallacy is potentially valid. For instance, there is a universe in which Stephen Colbert is funny, but the only reason Neill de Grasses Tyson observes there could be a universe in which Colbert is funny is because we are all together in this universe in which Colbert is not funny. IOW, the universe is how we observe it because we wouldn’t observe it this way if it weren’t this way.

It’s atheists’ little slide of hand to avoid admitting that the number of coincidences necessary for our universe to support life is so incredibly vast as to require there to have been an intelligent designer (God).

HOWEVER, I am curious where Bob and Alice drink. Any parlor that has the equipment for physics experiments like isolating the spin of photons is pretty cool in my book.

When playing a video game on a computer, the graphics engine only “draws” what is in the player’s FOV at any given moment. It would be computationally overwhelming to generate every element of a huge map continuously, so only what is needed at each instant is drawn.

It appears the Reality Engine is similarly efficient. It’s hard to be sure because we live in a classified reality.
