The state of the economy and inflation have reportedly forced a local law enforcement agency to issue an emergency action order. On Thursday, Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin signed the order stating his office will not seek traffic violations, and only calls of violent misdemeanor and felony offenses will be answered.
Sheriff Martin says the cost of gasoline and other goods and the decrease in revenue forced him to take action.
Any crime that doesn’t fall within the guidelines will need to be taken care of over the phone or via a walk-in. The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office can be reached at 417-679-4633.
Sheriff Martin says when his office first started the budget, he was attempting to come up with anything he could to cut back.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office will continue patrolling in Gainesville. Sheriff Martin says his office has a contract with the city that will continue to be honored.
Democrats: 'you do not need your guns.'
I’m a guessing this Ozark county is in Missouri.
If they can’t defend cops one way, they will thru inflation and fuel prices.
East of Branson. Population less then 9k.
They are setting up speed traps and hoping the speeders turn around and come back.
I keep thinking about all those young girls and guys protesting and supporting defunding the police and confiscating guns. When crime gets out of hand as it is and is getting worse and worse, when it comes your turn to be victims ... who ya gonna call?
I am calling on Uncle Sig.
Probably dumb to announce it though if that’s what happened.
Woo-Hooo! Road Trip! No cops! Autobahn of the Ozarks! ;)
I’ve driven the Autobahn in Germany and it. is. glorious!

Welcome to Democrat run America.
There! Fixed it.
Local communities would ultimately find new funding for basic things like highway patrolling if Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters did the following imo.
From related threads...
Trump supporters need to start working with their respective new, Trump-endorsed state lawmakers in 2023 to put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, 16th Amendment (16A)-related taxes that the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment (17A) ratification Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, had indicated that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had left the care of the people to the states, not the big, bad federal government.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
Also, Justice Louis Brandeis had seemingly reflected on Bingham's words when he volunteered his "laboratories of democracy" metaphor to emphasized the power of the states to serve the people, ultimately depending on the kind of state social spending programs that the legal majority citizen voters of a given state want.
"[...] a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country." —Justice Louis Brandeis, Laboratories of Democracy.
The bottom line is that the states desperately need to remove the unconstitutional "middleman," the unconstitutionally big federal government, from “helping” the states to manage their revenues.
And since Texas Republicans are rattling the secession saber, why don't MAGA Republicans lead ALL the states to effectively "secede" from the unconstitutionally big federal government, wiping out unconstitutional federal taxes in the process, by repealing the 16th and 17th Amendments?
Texas Republicans Call For TEXIT Vote With 90% In Favor (7.6.22)
Once the states put a permanent stop to unconstitutional federal taxes repealing 16&17A, each state will ultimately find a tsunami of new revenues imo. The new revenues can be used to not only support highway patrolling, but also to increase teacher salaries, also salaries of police and fire departments.
Let's also include infrastructure maintenance, undoubtedly many other state social spending programs as well, to replace unconstitutional federal domestic spending programs.
Corrections, insights welcome.
Again, Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters are again reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.
As the globalist misfits in the U.S. send hundreds of billions to foreign countries....spit*

The problem is all you wrote is too far advanced for every day folks.
And that ...that is the problem.
