Budget forces Ozark County sheriff to cut highway patrolling

The state of the economy and inflation have reportedly forced a local law enforcement agency to issue an emergency action order. On Thursday, Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin signed the order stating his office will not seek traffic violations, and only calls of violent misdemeanor and felony offenses will be answered.

Sheriff Martin says the cost of gasoline and other goods and the decrease in revenue forced him to take action.

Any crime that doesn’t fall within the guidelines will need to be taken care of over the phone or via a walk-in. The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office can be reached at 417-679-4633.

Sheriff Martin says when his office first started the budget, he was attempting to come up with anything he could to cut back.

The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office will continue patrolling in Gainesville. Sheriff Martin says his office has a contract with the city that will continue to be honored.

Also, Justice Louis Brandeis had seemingly reflected on Bingham's words when he volunteered his "laboratories of democracy" metaphor to emphasized the power of the states to serve the people, ultimately depending on the kind of state social spending programs that the legal majority citizen voters of a given state want.

The bottom line is that the states desperately need to remove the unconstitutional "middleman," the unconstitutionally big federal government, from “helping” the states to manage their revenues.

And since Texas Republicans are rattling the secession saber, why don't MAGA Republicans lead ALL the states to effectively "secede" from the unconstitutionally big federal government, wiping out unconstitutional federal taxes in the process, by repealing the 16th and 17th Amendments?

Once the states put a permanent stop to unconstitutional federal taxes repealing 16&17A, each state will ultimately find a tsunami of new revenues imo. The new revenues can be used to not only support highway patrolling, but also to increase teacher salaries, also salaries of police and fire departments.

Let's also include infrastructure maintenance, undoubtedly many other state social spending programs as well, to replace unconstitutional federal domestic spending programs.

Again, Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters are again reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.

Well, two ways to look at this, and both are punitive and somewhat politically-motivated.

ONE: give the Public plenty of warning about the police being unable to afford to respond to all but the most violent of crimes and lawlessness, unless more money. Take away your guns, leave you at the mercy of criminals, defund this!, or else. And we will perhaps punish otherwise law-abiding citizens of our county/State who take matters of personal security in to their own hands.

TWO: more money or else! Clearly their budget is insufficient to pay for the most basic of fuel costs (they say) to help stop or prevent or even respond to all but the most violent crimes and criminals.

What I did not hear/read from this law enforcement officer, is that American citizens had better arm themselves and see to their own security, or else! Could make the police not as necessary when otherwise law-abiding American citizens are killing/hanging criminals from the nearest Liberty Tree.

Sounds more like a fundraising effort, than anything else.

Will these same officers of law enforcement arrest/shoot/harass otherwise law-abiding taxpaying American citizens whom are only exercising their 2nd Amendment Constitutional God-given rights, and defend themselves with a gun? Knife? Baseball bat?
