KWTX) - Federal agents on Thursday raided three churches near military installations across the Southern U.S., including the Assembly of Prayer Christian Church in Killeen.
“I can confirm the FBI was executing court authorized law enforcement activity today in the vicinity of the intersection of Massey St. and E. Rancier Ave., in Killeen, Texas. No additional information will be released at this time,” FBI Special Agent Carmen Portillo said in an emailed statement to KWTX.

They raided 2 in Georgia from the same organization. From the local news, yeh, lots of folks think it was an abusive cult.
Is it? I have no idea.
The American Stasi at work.
Starting to think paranoia is the main motivation of FBI ...which essentially a Criminal Enterprise in a otherwise law abiding country.. when you take the left out of the equation.
I’m anti this gooberment. Strongly.
Why are FBI goons raiding churches?
Was there a federal law broken?
If not, the FBI Democrat goons are at it again.
Just sending a message. And now with Roe officially overturned look out for the ruthless federal fist on all things anti-abortion, anti-democrats, and pro Trump. They are TICKED and they want revenge!!!
There have been accusations from former members that this church has become a cult and abusive of people.
I don’t know if that’s the reason for this, but see post 10.
I saw some things about one of the churches being a cult, but isn’t this for state or local law enforcement to investigate abuse allegations?

Maybe there was interstate illegality going on. This ‘church’ appears to have a presence in numerous places in the US.
There was a weird anarcho-militia-drugring-theft ring-life insurance fraud thing in Hinesville/Ft. Stewart Georgia a while back, led by a US soldier whose family came from Guam named Isaac Aguigui, who founded the lame-O group called FEAR. Supposedly he was involved with two churches but I don’t know in what way. It isn’t really a militia if it is anarchist. He murdered three people including his wife, supposedly also wanted to assassinate Obama as well as poison the Apple crop on Washington State, where he wanted to buy land for his wannabe army.
Must be something else because cults aren’t illegal.
well, there’s always the “wait for facts and don’t leap to conclusions” approach...
Was it raided at 4am with tanks and SWAT teams?
That’s scary.
I don’t think there is anything more evil than those who pervert for their own purposes the natural human impulse toward God and spiritual life.
This is FR. Many people here don’t ‘wait’, they’re always ready with their knee-jerk assumptions and responses.
Many don’t even read the entire thread before those kick in.
Sounds like the self proclaimed preacher hooks people by paying their bills...with strings attached.
He supposedly has bodyguards.
This sounds very much like the way Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda types took over mosques in the US that previously had not been radical. Step in, offer to pay debt, then in return demand a place on the board, repeat until fully in control of the board, oust the original imam/pastor, etc.
