Florida education officials reject math textbooks over critical race theory
The Florida Department of Education has rejected a slew of math textbooks they say attempt to “indoctrinate” students through the inclusion of critical race theory and other prohibited subjects, officials said Friday.
The agency junked 41 percent of publisher submissions for a range of reasons — including “references to critical race theory” and adherence to federal Common Core standards.

I don’t even know how one can bring race into math. These authors must be twisting themselves into pretzels trying to come up with ways to do it.
I sure would like to see and read more specific examples of what these publishers are trying to slide into textbooks. The lead photo of article shows 2 posters with titles of “Found in Florida” where I can discern some points for objections. I think more of this is needed in order to inform parents in other states where there may be less rigor in accepting submissions for approved textbooks.
