This post represents a book display at my local library. The descriptive reason was hiding the title. You lift the reason to see the book.

Funny how the display lists why the book was banned, but not who is banning the books.

Funny how liberals want to silence free speach, ban books and limit the rights to free speech, free enterprise and free elections. One only needs to look at social media to see how perverse and pervasive liberal censorship has gotten.

Oh well, We were warned. Little did we know 1984 was a prophetic book and Idiocracy foretells our near future.

Anything written before 2010 should be banned as racist and homophobic.

I have found Bible based religious books are limited but anything with LGBT or feminist themes are readily available.

Well, thousands of us are now ruined because we all had to read The Catcher In The Rye.

I identified with Caulfield's roommate, the 'secret slob', because sometimes I had to shave twice.

Pro Communist and Contains Explicit Sexual Matter ..... 1984

I guarantee this is not the reason.

It seems a bit contrary on the one hand to ban books that are deemed sexually explicit, while embracing and promoting a pedophile agenda. It’s like the Party of Abortion touting laws about health.

Amazon's stated goal was to make every book in the world available.

When you want to ban books (or ban people), you always begin with the most odious examples.

Amazon's deplatforming in the U.S. began in 2017.

From 2017: WJC welcomes Amazon move to remove Holocaust-denial books, offers assistance in identifying further material

And Amazon stops selling Holocaust-denial books

By 2020, Amazon was banning books offensive to gays: Cancel Culture: Our renowned health book suddenly banned by Amazon - after 3½ years of successful sales.

And Amazon stops selling books by Catholic psychologist amid LGBT activist pressure

Covid books were also being banned: Amazon Bans Book on Coronavirus from Lockdown Critic Alex Berenson

Notice the trend. You begin by banning Holocaust deniers. Then move to ban criticisms of the gay lifestyle. Then normal books critical of the Covid narrative are fair game.

It's the same with increasing the police state. First it's to fight child molesters or terrorists. Eventually, decent citizens are feeling the loss of liberties.

Make sure you buy a stack of these for every teenager you know; they may be hard to find by the end of this century!

It might introduce a kid to a more conservative way of life; due to all of their brainwashing they most likely have no CLUE that we ‘Normals’ live this way.

And kids LOVE to think of themselves as ‘rebels’ so you’ll TOTALLY be ‘The Cool Auntie/Uncle’ who gave them BANNED BOOKS!

“That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. They can drive you crazy. They really can.” ~ The Catcher in the Rye

I'm currently reading a banned book: The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (New York: Skyhorse, 2021).

I was amazed to find it in our county library. According to the Worldcat global library database, only five other library systems carry this book, and it's hard to find in bookstores.

In NYS a local elementary school pulled the Little House books for cultural sensitivity reasons.

It’s just ludicrous.

Bull.

These books were not "Banned". They were occasionally removed from CHILDREN's school libraries. Sometimes it was just suggested that they be removed from children's school libraries.

The "Banned books" is a bunch of hogwash.

Many books in those days generated controversy, but they weren’t pornographic trash.
