Sex Ed Is the Opposite of Grooming Some pundits say that talking with little kids about sex and gender primes them to be taken advantage of. Sex-ed researchers say that the opposite is true.

If you ask some (okay, many) conservative pundits, Democrats are “grooming” children. As in, grooming them to be abused by pedophiles. Some Republicans have even accused Democrats of being pedophiles themselves.

The grooming charges lump together concerns that kids are being introduced too early to sexually explicit material, to the existence of transgender people, and to non-heterosexual sexual orientations. In March, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed what critics have dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, a measure that discourages teachers from discussing gender identity or sexual orientation in classrooms. Versions of the measure have been proposed in at least a dozen other states. Referring to the bill, DeSantis’s spokesperson Christina Pushaw tweeted, “If you’re against the Anti-Grooming Bill, you are probably a groomer or at least you don’t denounce the grooming of 4-8 year old children.” A pastor even organized an “anti-grooming” rally at Disney’s headquarters in California.

This type of rhetoric is damaging in its own right. As the commentator David French writes in his newsletter, “Throwing around accusations of pedophilia, sympathy for pedophilia, grooming, or sympathy for grooming is a recipe for threats and violence”—an assessment that some historians endorse. This latest pedophilia panic overlaps with the false beliefs of the QAnon movement, which fueled the Pizzagate incident in 2016.

They are leaving out a very big point. The secrecy. Talking about this with children, not telling the parents, and keeping those discussions secret should raise red flags.

Sex education is based on the work of John Money, who sexually abused children, and Alfred Kinsey who paid criminals to sexually abuse small children and "report".

Even the parts of their work that were not totally criminal were based on interviews with hookers and felons.

It is a rotten foundation to build anything on.

I am going to commit a cardinal sin by commenting on the article without reading it. Why? Because I have read other opinions and statements by today’s class of so call sexual education experts. The conclusion: they are among the most perverted, evil, immoral, self serving individuals dedicated to the corruption of innocence. They are a threat humanity.

Therefore I know anything they opine will be in defense of the growing trend to sexualize children.

There might indeed be a good kind of sex ed that is the opposite of grooming. For 5 to 8 year olds this would likely be warning then how to avoid strangers and to speak up if they are being touched inappropriately. It would certainly not include a discussion of the little kids own sexual preferences or gender.

Not all Democrats are groomers but most groomers are Democrats.

Democrats are Groomers! Seems like a simple enough statement for me to comprehend.

The premise that Democrats are gullible does not excuse the fact that Democrats Support Groomers !

Advertising is meant to build product/service acceptance by repeated mentions.

“Any publicity is good publicity” is a phrase that comes to mind.

Remember this from 12 years ago?

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/mark-berndt-fed-schoolchildren-cookies-2804601

A former school teacher has admitted blindfolding and feeding his pupils cookies coated in his semen.

Mark Berndt, 62, pleaded guilty at a hearing on Friday to 23 crimes at the Miramonte Elementary School in Los Angeles, America, against 30 of his pupils.

He is expected to be jailed for 25 years.

Berndt reportedly called the sick acts “tasting games” and they would involve him offering out cookies laced with his semen while keeping the students blindfolded.

Before he offered his plea, distraught mothers of the victims told the court how their daughters’ lives had been ruined.

According to reports, some of them now have eating disorders.

Berndt was finally caught when a drugstore photo technician noticed photos showing children as young as eight blindfolded.

Police later found a plastic spoon with traces of semen in a classroom bin.

He is also suspected of putting cockroaches on the students’ faces and taping some of their mouths shut, according to KTLA 5.

His defense attorney Manny Medrano told KTLA 5 how remorseful Berndt was shortly after he entered his plea.

He taught at the school for 30 years and was removed from the classroom in 2011 after allegations were made.

Berndt was arrested in January 2012 and later charged with the 23 counts of lewd conduct.

Are they speaking after reviewing statisticals?

How can they make such a declarative statement as fact with no research? Or have they data that prove it?

(or are they talking out of their $$)

Sex ed is a bad idea all around. Also, it takes the fun out of it. When you were 16 in the car at the drive in movie, or out parked by the lake did you want to follow procedures the teacher explained to you using a cucumber and a textbook?

Or did you want to have the thrill of learning on your own, and thinking you were misbehaving?

The progressives take the joy and fun out of everything.

Sex ed class is like someone telling you in advance what you’re getting for Christmas, and then when you are finally handed that wrapped box, you don’t get that same thrill.

Is this Atlantic the one where Applebaum, who doesn’t think Hunter Biden is interesting enough, works.

In my mind, SHE represents the whole publication.
Nice goin’ Apple.

Of course sex-ed researchers say the opposite is true. They just want to increase their student population. This means more “studies” and more “need”. Which translates to more money.

They need to paint the groomers' words and illustrations from the curriculum all over the outside of school buildings. Etch them in the glass as well. Play the audio books on speakers in the schoolyard.

We have warning labels on products for a reason.
