There might indeed be a good kind of sex ed that is the opposite of grooming. For 5 to 8 year olds this would likely be warning then how to avoid strangers and to speak up if they are being touched inappropriately. It would certainly not include a discussion of the little kids own sexual preferences or gender.
Home school kids and teach them to stay away from creepy public school teachers.
