Juneteenth to replace Good Friday for day off -- thank you Biden
Heard this from a federal credit union worker.
“Juneteenth”
That’s not even English...ebonics maybe?
Good Friday was never a national holiday.
Isn’t that appropriating a Texas holiday?
They misspelled Juneteemph.
It took a while to get the news around Texas so you might have heard it on the 13th or the 19th so just abbreviate to Juneteenth. That said it used to be a Texas thing until The woke yankees stole it for a federal hioliday.
We get Juneteenth off this year. Never gotten Good Friday off.
Fun to remind folks it recognizes the announcement of Republicans freeing the slaves owned by demoncrats.
Somewhere, I’m sure there’s a Peter Griffin soundbite/vid clip that would express my displeasure with virtually everything that’s going on in our nation at the moment.
It’s been a recognized state holiday in the Commonwealth of MA for several years. It’s the second or third Sunday in June.
A credit union making it a holiday is odd because the Fed is open and banking services are going on. I would hate to work in their Ops department.
Where were you with this federal credit union worker when you "heard" this?
Perhaps in a private room? Maybe a locked closet in a Federal building?
Have you a recording of this intimate encounter?
Video maybe?
Sue for religious discrimination.
I get it off...
June 19th is the day Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed.
Juneteenth or Good Friday.
Coloreds or Catholics.
Get Help.
It was kinda like imposing sanctions since it only applied to the Confederate states and not the damn yankees themselves, agriculture being labor intensive. And the war started over northern imposed customs taxes on British made agricultural equipment which the north made and wanted the south to bye from them.
“Hell is upon us.”
Yep, and glad I don’t trust this bunch on Ukraine.
Dear facebook….I heard from a friend of a cousin….
Bingo, there you have it.
