We ordered from Arby’s recently - first time I’ve had it. Husband wanted the French dip, and couldn’t see it on the menu.
I got the smokehouse brisket sandwich - pretty good, considering I couldn’t get a hamburger.

I could go for one of those Double Stacked Reuben sammichs!
Only put mine on white, I dislike the taste of Rye as it tends to overpower the flavors on the sandwich. You can’t even taste the kraut, much less the beef.
Go ahead purists, flame away, you know you want to.

Got to hand it to Arby's, it's the meat. No synthetic "wondermeat" factory veggie burgers. Arby's is unashamedly in-your-face about meat.
It's one place you won't find vegan wackos.

Their Reubens are highly variable in quality.
Sometimes the meat is way too fatty and grisly.
If you can’t hit an authentic deli, the place for Reubens is Culvers. Consistently great. The Lexus of fast food.

Reubens always make me think of my dear old Dad. (He too was an “old Virginian.”)
He loved a good Reuben - always wanted to try them at different sandwich shops. He did like them on rye, though.
When he was going to visit one of my sisters who lived in NYC at the time, he told me he couldn’t wait to try a Reuben at the Carnegie Deli. LOL
