I could go for one of those Double Stacked Reuben sammichs!
Only put mine on white, I dislike the taste of Rye as it tends to overpower the flavors on the sandwich. You can’t even taste the kraut, much less the beef.

Reubens always make me think of my dear old Dad. (He too was an “old Virginian.”)
He loved a good Reuben - always wanted to try them at different sandwich shops. He did like them on rye, though.
When he was going to visit one of my sisters who lived in NYC at the time, he told me he couldn’t wait to try a Reuben at the Carnegie Deli. LOL
